The newest entry in the Gears of War franchise from Black Tusk may return to the series's darker and more morbid roots according to Phil Spencer and Black Tusk. Details on the newest title in the Gears of War franchise on Xbox One are incredibly scant, and now we have a small bit of detail to add to that nothingness! IGN.com reports that Phil Spencer is in talks with the new studio behind Gears of War to return the franchise to it's dark roots in the first three games as compared to Judgment. Phil said on the subject how he adored the franchise's, “epic scale, the settings that I was in, the massive destruction moments. It was more what I would call soulful and maybe even a little dark.” This could possibly mean that grittier and dirty moments like the point blank executions in Gears of War or the unique gameplay sections (like fighting the Corpser in Gears of War 1, or riding the large human vehicles in Gears of War 2) may return. On top of this, Phil expressed how he understood the complaints with Judgment, but focused on the future of the franchise for the next decade. He also confirmed the game would not be a reboot, making way for a sequel, prequel, or spin-off to Marcus Fenix's stories. So far though, no details like a release date, plot, game title, or characters have been revealed, and it's likely we won't see much too soon. View attachment: gowlogoyellow.png Do you have faith in Black Tusk returning the series to it's origins in darker and more involving storytelling? Let me know below! Sorry I've been gone folks, I'm trying. Peace out!

Bungie is designing it’s MMOFPS Destiny to be played on your own, if you prefer. But the developer has now dropped a heavy hint that the end-game missions may require you to team up with some other players. “You absolutely are going to be able to play Destiny by yourself and have the same kind of fun shooter-experience that you could have in a single-player campaign, which is a word that we’ve weeded out of our vocabulary,” Bungie’s Jason Jones told Game Informer. “But we’re going to give you this great player-progression on top of that, and we’re going to give you as many opportunities as we possibly can to expose you to other people, so that hopefully you’re drawn into some social experiences, because those are incredibly powerful and interesting, but we’re not going to force those on you. “We describe it in a lot of ways as sloping the floor towards socialization, without putting a requirement on it,” he continued. “I would say that there’s some sort of – if you wanted to talk about it in MMO terms, you’d say ‘end-game activities’, but some of the most intense non-competitive activities in the game do require cooperation. They require a group of players to tackle at once. “I guess at some variable, distant endpoint we are going to say, ‘Yeah, if you show up at this door, and you don’t have five friends, you’re not going to be able to succeed,’ but the core experience that solo players have enjoyed in shooters, they’re going to be able to get that, and we’re going to pull many of them into social experiences as well.” So, it sounds as if it won’t just be a case of these missions being too difficult to tackle alone, but rather that being part of a team will be a requirement.
