The Newest Information on OUYA This new console, said to be released in March of 2012, is jumping in popularity right now. It has a lot of new features that make it unique and new to the gaming world. This console features a new kind of interface for in home gaming similar to that of a mobile device. You can download games right to the system, and play them immediately most of which are free. Big games such as Minecraft have already agreed to jump into this band wagon. The Ouya, pronounced OOOYEAH, is an upcoming, easily affordable game console that runs on an open source OS based on the Android 4.0 OS. It is currently priced at $99 US Dollars and is intended to be released in Spring 2013. You can pre-order now at their official site HERE. Here's what it looks like, with the controller. The creators of Ouya have stated that it is their intention that Ouya be a cheap and easy alternative for indie developers and other smaller developers that want to make games for a console with having to pay a ridiculous fee for the SDK or license. The Ouya is intended to be completely hackable and moddable. That goes for the software AND hardware. Here's the tech specs for the Ouya.
