Ok so as the title says, I'm looking to see if there would be any interest in a Windows 10 Introduction and Walkthrough as well as an Xbox One Integration Introduction and Review. Windows 10 is right around the corner and I'm sure lot's of members alike are either waiting to see what this new OS and Xbox thing ends up being before they decide to upgrade from their Windows 7 or Vista/XP setups, or taking the plunge head first. Basically I want to do a video showcasing Windows 10 features as well as the Xbox One Streaming features so members of the community can see first hand how everything plays out and works. And maybe, you may learn a few cool tricks along the way or find help solving an issue. If there is interest and you would like to add a suggestion for the video content, please post it up and let me know. I have about 3 weeks to finalize the format and go over the content before I make the video.

When I first read this I kind of laughed, but then thought it is better than nothing. Having to buy a game you already own again just to play it on a the new XBOX One is, well, kind of a put off. I mean you want a game when it first hits the market, then realize you have to shell out another $60.00 for another copy plus the $500.00 for the new console. I guess my initial laugh was based on the thought, "Who is willing to pay $120.00 for a game when they can wait a month or two and get it for $60.00?" The DLC seems hardly any kind of an inducement to pay out that kind of money. I am not the one who could legitimately speak to the new console being backwards compatible for 360 games, but can figure the need for a dual purpose disk reader and supporting hardware/software may not be an easy task or financially viable. Hopefully someone who knows that field better than I can explain that matter. Here is the original story that caught my attention, plus the link to XBOX Wire for the statement in their own words. Hi, I was told by XBox support to post here. A month or 2 ago, I received a message via the XBox Notification Center giving me 1-month of Xbox Live Gold in the form of a redeemable code. This was as a thank-you for purchasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I did not redeem the code at the time, nor did I write the code down. I now find that messages in the Xbox Notification Center are automatically deleted after a week! So, I would like to ask for a replacement code to be sent to me. Thanks in advance! Scott

In an effort to help gamer's understand the XBOX One's capabilities and what some actual features are Marc Whitten, Chief XBOX ONE platform architect, answers some questions posed by Ryan McCaffrey, IGN’s Executive Editor of Previews and Xbox Guru-in-Chief. Below is a current IGN article that highlights a series of questions and their answers. Ask Microsoft Anything About Xbox One Answers on Microsoft's new console, straight from the horse's mouth! Soure: I GN As the Xbox One gets closer to its November launch, many questions remain about how the console works and what it can do. So we reached out to Microsoft and asked them if they could definitively clarify some of these things. They obliged, and so we'll be bringing you a handful of Ask Microsoft Anything answers each Monday at 2pm PDT/5pm EDT. Bookmark this page, as we'll update this article so that all the answers live in one easy-to-find place. Oh, and if you've got a question for Microsoft about the Xbox One, send it to our Podcast Unlocked team at [email protected] and we'll make sure Microsoft sees it! Are Xbox 360 Avatars transferring over? If so will any changes be made to them? MARC WHITTEN, CHIEF XBOX ONE PLATFORM ARCHITECT: They are – your avatar will be on the system at launch and in fact, you’ll have some new options, including the ability to do full-body HD gamerpics. By the way, we should actually talk more about gamerpics too. We’ve moved from the 64x64 gamerpics on Xbox 360 to a full 1080p. They are beautiful, and you are going to see some really cool hero moments, like when you login to see personalized views of your games and other content. Can you clarify how will Xbox Live Arcade work on Xbox One? Or if it will exist at all? WHITTEN: Sure – there is no difference between games in the store – games are games are games! You’ll find them in the same pivots (most popular, new, etc.) and we’ll be highlighting them in our dashboard experience. And of course – like all of your digital games content – you can play them on any Xbox One, and anyone can play them on your Xbox One. Will the Game DVR capture at the source resolution? i.e. will Forza 5 clips capture at 1080p and 60fps? And where can Game DVR clips be uploaded to? WHITTEN: Game DVR captures beautiful clips at 720p 30fps. The first thing you’ll see with our game DVR is the integration of our Upload service on the console. This service allows you to manage, edit, and share your content. Your clips are stored in the cloud. Also, you’ll see games making “magic moment” videos of your gameplay based on the game DVR functionality – all seamlessly integrated. You’ll be able to see these clips in the Xbox One Guide, in your own game DVR collection, and when you are looking at gamercards on the system. You’ll also see games take advantage of this platform capability and do interesting things to integrate captured game footage into the game experience itself. Can you earn two sets of Achievements for the same game (i.e. Playing Call of Duty Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One)? WHITTEN: Every game has its own set of achievements, so if you’re playing Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One, you can earn a separate set of Gamerscore in each game. But on the Xbox One version, you’re getting a much richer set of features, such as seeing your achievements progress on the Xbox One console, being able to unlock new achievements throughout the year, and earning real prizes inside and outside of the game. Xbox One also enables a new concept of challenges, where games will be offering special time-based opportunities to earn various goals and collect the rewards. More info on challenges can be found on Major Nelson's blog here.

Hello Fellow Gamers of Halo! My GT is Burdened Legacy, I'm the leader for a Military based clan and am looking for two things. The first, recruits. I want to add more people to my clan same as any other. The second, is alliances and rivals. Right now my clan is around 20+ and if your a lone wolf I can respect that. That goes for people in clans already. But, if you'd like to join, message me or Omicron Legacy. We only ask that you change your emblem and something we can identify you easily. Right now, we are focused on Reach, but moving to Halo 4 as well. Aside from being in the clan, when you join, you will be put in a small team to easily know the clan. You will train with this team and you will battle with this team. Each team is around 4 to 6 players and 3 teams make a platoon. Hope I see the requests coming soon. ~Happy Gaming, Burdened. ....and your service tag something we can identify you easily. ^^^^I forgot to add in the atilcized portion to the post.

Whenever I try to get onto Halo 4, I get disconnected from Xbox Live and cannot reconnect and whenever I try to reconnect it says after a few seconds: "Your connection to Xbox Live has been lost. Please sign in again." and I should say whenever I get off of Halo 4, I get connected to Xbox Live again. This started happening when I started playing this morning(I have been playing Halo 4 for about a year now, and this is the first time something like this has occurred). Problem just went away as soon as I posted this...What a waste of time...

Source-The Inquisitr ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "Many reports have been saying Microsoft and Skype agreed to use all chat sessions as Skype " But is this really worth it, what do you think? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After Microsoft purchased Skype in 2011 to the tune of $8.5 billion, it abandoned MSN Messenger in favor of integrating Skype with many of its platforms, and Microsoft reportedly plans to do the same thing with the next Xbox. The report comes from CVG, who cite an alleged source from inside Microsoft. According to the report, Microsoft intends to make Skype the main form of communication for the company’s next-generation Xbox, which is expected to be announced in the next several months. The source tells CVG: “You might jump to the conclusion that we’ll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live”. This is only a rumor, but it’s the most believable one so far. Microsoft’s plan to integrate Skype into its product can already be seen in other areas, and it only makes sense that they would do the same for the next Xbox, especially considering Microsoft has already hinted at it. Microsoft recently posted a job listing for its UK-based Skype offices that calls for a user interface designer, and the company’s next console is specifically named. The listing reads: “The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox.” Fortunately, it appears that it won’t be too much longer before all of the speculation can finally be put to rest; industry chatter suggests that Microsoft will announce the next Xbox either at E3 this year or possibly earlier.

Greetings, Gamers! I am pleased to announce that United Nations Gaming (UNG) is finally recruiting new members. Before I get into recruitment details, perhaps a little backround on UNG. United Nations Gaming is a fairly new, global Gaming Community, for Xbox Live. at UN Gaming, we envision a world where anyone can game, regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, colour, or favourite bubblegum flavour. Within UN Gaming, gamers can relax in knowing that they have friends, family, and a whole community of gamers supporting them. Why, you might wonder? How could this be? This is because UN Gaming has a NO TOLERANCE rule for ANY form of discrimination. If ANY member is reported to have been discriminating another member, I will personally expel that person from UNG. There will be no exceptions, unless the allegations are false. Now, if you are a gamer who just wants to play Xbox with others like you, UN Gaming is the place to be. Joining is simple. You can either: a) Message me on the Forums @ UNG Firefly Message me on Xbox Live @ UNG Firefly c) e-mail me @ [email protected] d) Message me on Facebook @ Joshua Yasyszczuk e) Message the Community on Facebook @ www.facebook.com/unitednationsgaming I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Josh Bieuz

I was playing Halo 4 on Live and was completing the Spray and Pray challenge of 150 kills with an automatic rifle and the reward was 20,000 experience upon completion. I haven't received the experience points but it say that I have completed the challenge. Has anyone else had this problem? I have contacted XBOX LIVE support and they gave me this link thinking I would get better results from a post. I was at the end of completing level 89 and was only shy 1,000 experience from leveling up and I had 2 kills left to complete the Spray and Pray challenge. Nothing has been accredited and I have restarted my XBOX with no luck. Hopefully, I can get some answers. Thanks for the help in advance!

FDS stands for Fatal Death Squad. Formed in 2007 after the release of Halo 2, FDS continues to strive forward with it's message of gaming with honor and integrity. This is what drew me to FDS. It's a community where you can login, go to the community gamertag & see who's playing. Join a friend or rally some members for a round of SWAT or a match on Slayer!! FDS has the goal of creating a safe haven for like-minded gamers regardless of gender, race, national origin, religion, marital status, or disability. However you must be 16 or older to join. We believe that all gamers should have a place to play where they won’t have to put up with any type of drama or problems and be free to enjoy the game to its full extent. In the FDS Community we do recognize player skill; however, we believe that gaming is more about having fun and enjoying the game with friends. FDS has both casual and competitive gamers that actively participate in our community. Keeping that in mind, there is always a place for anyone looking to join. You don't have to change your gamertag but we do ask that you change & remain in uniform colors. Our main reasoning behind this is recognition. Your teammates & other community members are easier to identify in the heat of battle!! You are not required to maintain a positive kill/death ratio. There are plenty of members that you can speak with if you'd like some tips or advice. Please message me anytime with questions, if you wanna hook up for a round online or if you're interested in joining. It's a great community of boys & girls, just looking for some like minded gamers to have fun with. We have a saying, "No tea bagging unless you were tea bagged first." Thanks for reading! Game on! Btw, we are looking for people interested in starting a forge team. If you think you might be interested, hit me up!

Source-IGN Redbox Is coming to xbox live, but will it be more popular than Hulu Plus And Netflix? Look out Netlfix: Verizon and Redbox are looking to bump you from the coveted "thing most of your Xbox Live friends are doing at 3 a.m." spot. Last year, news arrived of Verizon's plans to team up with DVD-rental kiosk company Redbox to offer instant streaming. While the service still remains in beta, Microsoft's Larry Hryb has announced Xbox 360 is the "exclusive" console provider for Redbox Instant's imminent launch. "Today we’re happy to reveal that Redbox Instant by Verizon will be coming to Xbox 360 in the very near future," said Hryb. "If you are currently a Redbox Instant beta participant, you’ll receive an email with a unique code to access the app on Xbox 360 in the coming days." Redbox and Verizon are hoping to compete with similar services, including Netflix and Amazon Instant, by providing a means to easily grab physical copies of new releases. After pushing subscribers toward streaming-only plans with readjustments in pricing plans, the instant-streaming library on Netflix is seriously lacking in current titles. Redbox Instant will offer subscription plans of $8/month (DVD) or $9/month (Blu-ray) which allow you to grab four one-night rentals from Redbox kiosks (in addition to the streaming library). The Xbox 360 app will also allow purchase and rentals of releases without a Redbox Instant subscription. If you're not currently involved in the Redbox Instant beta, you can enter your email address at their site for a chance to join. Redbox representatives have issued clarification to IGN, stating that the service will be available on other games platforms in the future, but will be exclusive to Xbox 360 at the time of its initial launch.

Source-Slash Gear It seems people with silver membership get to watch hulu plus free but gotta have a paying netflix account if they wanna use Netflix. Microsoft is unlocking two of the most popular video-streaming services on Xbox LIve this weekend. Xbox Live Silver members will be able to access Netflix and Hulu PLus without having to pay for a Xbox Live Gold membership. While you’ll still need a Netflix subscription to access movies and TV shows, Hulu is allowing access to Hulu Plus at no cost throughout the weekend. Netflix’s new original series House of Cards is debuting this weekend, and it seems Netflix wants as many users as it can get to watch the new show, even if it means unlocking access on Xbox Live. Plus, all episodes of the new show will be available for streaming, so clear all your weekend plans and make sure to tune in if you’re interested. Furthermore, Hulu Plus on Xbox Live will be completely free for anyone this weekend. Since it’s Super Bowl weekend specifically, Hulu is letting users access the Hulu AdZone in order to watch all the commercials from this year’s Super Bowl, as well as commercials from as far back as 2008 that aired during the big game. Again, both Netflix and Hulu Plus will be open to Xbox Live Silver members at no cost, but you’ll still need a separate Netflix subscription in order to access the app, while Hulu Plus will be completely free for anyone with an Xbox 360 and an internet connection. Happy watching!
