Hello. I'm looking to join a Halo clan. -I'm 18, have a mic, and own both Halo: MCC and Halo 5: Guardians -I'm looking for a community-focused group, I don't play competitively and can't usually put up with the ****ty attitudes that some of those kinds of groups have. -I've played Halo since CE and the only three I never played/have yet to play were Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, and Halo Wars 2. -I'm looking for a group that can be flexible with schedules. I'm a college and high school student whose schedule can change randomly at any given time, as I don't want to be reprimanded for something out of my control. -I'm willing to be in a lore group, and I know a fair amount of the lore, but I don't know everything. GT is Armed Solution, Time Zone is PST (UTC -7; Pacific Standard Time) Thanks for your posts!

The new forge that is available in Halo 2 Anniversary is quite remarkable. A new feature, known as Movement Snap, will revolutionize the way we forge. Movement Snap combines the ethics of Coordinate Forge and Magnet Forge. As a result, the forging process is a lot quicker. Because of this, and the 650 piece budget, forge maps are becoming a lot larger than before. It was only a matter of time before Hybrid maps boomed... Hybrid maps: "What are they?", you might ask. Hybrid maps are, at the core, large competitive arena maps. They start out as small arenas, and then you build on them with Big Team Battle essentials. These Hybrid maps may feature vehicles, balanced weapons and spawns, and diverse map control. Because of their size, a two-players-against-one scenario is unlikely, unless you enjoy standing out in the open. I would consider Halo 4's "Complex" to be the first great Hybrid map. Hybrid maps are not for everyone, and it shows with the reception of Halo 4's multiplayer modes. So what is the difference between a Big Team map and a Hybrid map? Well, a very difficult question to ask with an easy answer. Let's take a look at Halo 2's "Coagulation". For the most part, the open area is the center of the action, and is equidistant from the bounds. Notice how the open area can surround the base, and yet the base is very close-quarters on the inside. Hybrid maps, on the other hand, use open areas passively. The center of the action is in the close quarters arena setting. Another look at "Complex", shall we fancy? Players gravitate AWAY from the open grass and to the structure, while in "Coagulation", Players gravitate TOWARDS the open mounds. Right now, I am working a new Hybrid. I started by trying to combine the symmetrical halves of two symmetrical arena maps of mine: "Breachport" from Halo: Reach, and "New Pacific" from Halo 4. I ended up adding a new floor on the bottom that not only connects the two halves, but creates an outer ring that goes around the map. It was on this floor that I decided that I should add a couple vehicles, and at that very moment, it became a Hybrid map. I don't believe I'm only one expanding on my old maps: There are many cartographers who stuck around to witness and become inspired by Halo 4's method. With Halo 2 Anniversary's lack of sprint, and the subjective of an Assault Rifle as a power weapon, I think this style of map design will warrant many players less "Headcase" medals. It is a good time to be a cartographer.

I'm gonna throw this thread out there as a bit of a teaser as well as an invitation to anyone out there that still loves to play there daily Halo, but doesn't have many people left on their friend's list that plays Halo. I'm making a gaming community called "Project Ascension" with a strong emphasis on Halo. The community will deal work with our members to grow and expand for every type of gamer, from the casual Halo player, to the elite players. We are set up to have a war-simulation event (And no, not a LARP) in which all our participating members form into teams and work to gain domination of a risk type board, with each territory being represented by an actual in-game map. Alongside this, you can expect us to have a handful of gamenights each week ranging from any of the Halos, to other amazing multiplayer games. On top of the Campaign war simulations, and gamenights, we will also hold Tournaments, and days were we get together to simply work on achievements to help our members get that next step closer to 100% their games. Now that I'm done with the very rough explanation of what Project Ascension is, let me try provide some quick guidelines to the community: 1.) We don't have an age range, We have met plenty of 14 year olds that have it much more together than some guys and gals in college. We do however work to limit drama on the community to as small as we can. 2.) No, we do not require any changes to your gamertags, profiles, statuses, or anything like that. It's dumb, and a waste of your time to do it, and a waste of my time to even think of asking you to do it. 3.) We are an open community, if you are part of another community, we don't mind. We are just restarting and we understand that other larger communities have a lot to offer as well. We do appreciate monogamous members, but it's not like we are gonna chain you to the community. 4.) No, we don't demand that you attend every thing we do. We do appreciate members conveying that they wanna join an event, but unless you convey you want to join in, you don't need to feel pressure to join. Project Ascension already has pretty much everything we need to start up on a moment's notice, but due to our admins either being in college final's month, busy with a wedding around the corner, as well as other things in life demanding our attention, we won't be officially starting up for about a month and a half, late May to early June to help remove the chronological math from that. With all of that said, myself, and the other admins do find ourselves enough spare time to jump on our xbox often enough to forge some fun maps, do matchmaking, and keep up with anyone that wants to join with us for some fun times. If you feel like you wanna just jump on Halo and play with some decent guys feel free to send a friend request to gamertag: Salvanous.

Ive been gaming since the release of the original xbox. Ive been playing the halo franchise ever since it came out. Lets see, in 2001 I was 6 or 7. That's how long I've been playing halo. And just xbox in general. I played halo 2 casually. Then when halo 3 came out, I stepped it up. I acquired 50s in multiple playlists. TS, TD, Snipers, SWAT, Big Team, and Squad Battle. Now that halo 3 is no longer available online, I've moved to halo4. I actually quit gaming for a year because halo 3s servers shut down. I was depressed. Yes. Depressed. Because the servers shut down. Now im back. I want to get into halo 4 and see what I can make of myself. I've played a little casually. But I want to become one of the best like I was in Halo 3. If anyone has a casual team that I can start out playing with in Halo 4, please shoot me a friend request. I just wanna get my skill up for now. Once I feel like I can keep up with the big dogs, I will either make a competitive team, or join one. If anybody thinks I would make a good extension to there gaming experience, please shoot me a friend request. Much love to the gaming community -ClassifiedSteel

Hey guys, you notice how their is this weird blob in your first person screen but ignore it because your radar says no one is their. Oh boy, aren't those people such a joy to the halo community. Isn't it such an amazement when you play some big team and their is that one sniper "hanging out" in the back and sniping. Oh no, you can't see him. You are close to him but can't find him. Oh gosh darn it, he must've ran away......BOOOM! He backsmacks you as if he knew you were always there, you checked your radar, you double checked and he pops out as if he were Houdini's son. The topic here is camo glitchers/camper. They really give me a hard time in dominion for sure. I'm all confident in capping a base when I'm sure nobody is their. I have rockets and I feel like a walking tank. I check all the corners for those corner campers and it seems clear. I begin to initiate capture, and I'm sure you can guess what happens next. I lose the base, I lose the game, I yell and why, because this one guy.... camping in the corner with his active camo plus his glitch. If he was using camo like it was meant to be used, it would have been no problem to deal with him considering I will know that he is their by looking at my radar. Tell me how you feel and if you have ever been in this situation give a like to this post. And don't forget to vote on the poll.
