Halo Infinite Here we'll be discussing all things Halo Infinite, and there's a lot to discuss. Now besides the first three quarters looking like a stunning nature documentary, Halo Infinite's announcement at Microsoft's 2018 E3 conference has left us with a lot of questions. Ok so lets start by assuming that this indeed is after the events Halo 5, because that's what 343 have implied so far. Does that make this game Halo 6? I was expecting two games to be revealed, Halo 6 and another (most likely FPS) Halo title. We got one short announcement, that has left us filled with awe, and confusion. I'm sure we're all really interested to hear more about Infinite, because so far things aren't clear at all, and all we can do is speculate. We're also assuming the Spartan seen at the end is John-117. Now, two things that stand out about John are that 1) he's in Mk VI MJOLNIR armour and 2) he slots in an AI chip. Another interesting things to note, is that they're clearly on a Halo ring, with pulsing structures that resemble those seen on Installation 04 in Halo: Combat Evolved. The way I see it, there are three possibilities: 1) This is not canon footage. This is just a way to demo the new 'Slipspace' gaming engine for future Halo games. Halo Infinite is to be the first Halo title utilising this engine, and this announcement is basically a hype/flex by 343. A very good one, it is. There may be no canon story in that footage, none of what we say may actually be happening. John putting the AI in, might just be shown to induce hype and because it looks good. 2) This is actually GEN2 Mark VI armour, as seen in 5, but 343 are scrapping that visually modified version completely. This isn't ridiculous, because it's what they did from Halo 3 to 4, and people don't riot over it. I think the Halo 4 Mk VI helmet looks good as well, and it's not an artistic change, the helmet does actually look that way after Cortana used nanobot technology to repair and reform parts of the armour after Halo 3's ending. Maybe it now is an artistic change, and 343 are suggesting that the Halo 3's armour design was canonically the one seen in Halo 4 and 5, but they just displayed it differently for those two games. He could be wearing armour seen in Halo 5, with a repaired/new helmet, but 343 chose to go back to the previous art style (if this case is true, then they would be art styles and not actually different designs). 3) That is Mark VI GEN1 MJOLNIR, and there's a reason Chief is back in it. Better be a good one. There's also a reason for the AI being slotted into his helmet, either it's Cortana or another one he's using. Now, 3) is probably the most popular belief, as people are already trying to find explanations. I think 2), despite being possible, is unlikely, because it'll cause a lot of disagreement in the community. People will get confused, though it may work in the long run. Possibility 1) is kind of likely, this announcement may just be another E3 2013 teaser (see Site Poll 80). If I had to pick one, I'd say they'll go with case 3), but I'm really curious about explanations. We also have no idea about the nature of the game. What Installation is that? Where are they? Is this an FPS? Is it Halo 6? When's it set? Share your thoughts and questions, let me know which possibility you think is most likely, and if you're aware of any other likely possibility. Watch the footage here: 343ICF, lets discuss Halo Infinite. Edit: Had to replace a) and b ) with 1) and 2) because 'b' with a ')' directly after is a smiley.

Hello everybody! It's Maestro here with Site Poll 104! To recap the previous poll, not the one and only sight pole, everyone concluded that hype reached critical mass when 343 said the MCC would be ported to PC. Now that E3 is upon us once again and Microsoft finished the Xbox presentation, we got a new teaser for Halo Infinite showing off the new engine and setting the tone for the game, which can be watched here. It looks like it picks up a little while after the point Halo 5 left off, but I'm not supposed to theory craft in the opening post. So my questions for you are: What did you think of the teaser? What do you think will happen in Halo Infinite? And where do you think the series will go from here? I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on this! You can also answer on our Twitter page. Maestro out! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Heyy, welcome back to the 343i Community Forum Site Poll! Yes, a rebrand was in order. I'm unable to craft a Site Poll every week, so they shouldn't have "Weekly" in the title if I can't meet a weekly deadline. I apologize, and hope you guys understand. Anyway, Site Poll 58 - 'Halo Music Tracks' - is here if you'd like to read the responses, or post a late reply. This poll we're unpacking, and discussing intensively about the biggest weeks in gaming... What are your thoughts on E3 2017 now that all the conferences are over? What are your favorite moments? Hated moments? What score would you give to each conference? How does this E3 compare to previous years, and how can it improve moving forward? Also, for those who attended E3 personally can you give a rundown of what you've encountered? The next Site Poll will be posted whenever, maybe. Feel free to suggest the topic for the NEXT Site Poll in your response! SD, out!

It seems that Sony has no current plans to follow in Xbox's footsteps with a backwards compatibility update to their current gen console. Microsoft made a daring move this E3 with the announcement that over the next few years Xbox 360 titles will become playable on the Xbox One, and most expected their competitor Sony to do the same. Apparently not, as reported by GameSpot.com, Sony has no plans for a system of backwards compatibility on the PS4. They commented on the announcement, saying it must have been, "challenging" to pull it off. They said that their current system of compatibility, the PlayStationNOW subscription service, will stay in effect. "Backward compatibility is hard," Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida explained. "I won't say we'll never do it, but it's not an easy thing to do. If it was easy we would have done that." Shuhei also stated that Sony wanted to focus on building new experiences rather than holding on to older ones. The official Xbox E3 2015 conference has given us a wealth of new details to get excited about for Halo 5: Guardians! Let's dive right in. E3 2015 began with a bang as Bonnie Ross, a member of 343 Industries, walked on stage and set up the Halo 5 Story Trailer reveal, found on . The trailer shows Chief hunting something down, as Locke and his team prepare to take him on, receiving begrudging help from the Arbiter and his faction. Buck and Locke speak about the Master Chief and the price that comes with hunting him down, as they are all led to one specific location, to find Chief, the Covenant, and the Guardians. The gameplay footage showed off a new weapon, similar to the Plasma Launcher from Halo Reach, but more compact, as well as team gameplay in action. It also showed just how ruthless Fireteam Osiris is in their efforts to track the Chief down, only being stopped by a large Promethean figure who tells them they are not allowed to enter, unlike the Chief, before the demo ends. View attachment: h5singleplayer.png Multiplayer is shown off in a brand new BTB style mode called Warzone. This will take place on extremely large maps with 12 v 12 players, along with numerous NPCs. The game seems to begin with you and your team being dropped off in multiple Pelicans unto the battlefield as you fight with an array of weapons and vehicles. The game footage also hints at allied NPCs with marine chatter and red hunters possibly aligned to red team. Along with this, the Mantis seems to be back in action, very similar to it's precursor self. Along with the Mantis, a new Promethean air vehicle was demonstrated, possibly being player driven. The trailer can be seen on Xbox's channel, and is playable at E3. View attachment: h5warzone.png All information and images are sourced from 343 Industries and Microsoft, shown at E3 2015.

Dishonored 2 Accidentally Revealed on Bethesda Test Stream!
VinWarrior posted a article in Other Articles
Bethesda seems to have accidentally revealed it's new Dishonored project during a test stream in preparation for E3 2015. When it launched in 2012, the new Bethesda and Arkane Studios project Dishonored was hailed as a fantastic mixture of Assassin's Creed's core gameplay and a beautifully dark world full of mystery and shadows. If like myself, you were a fan of that world, you'll be excited to hear that Dishonored 2 seems to be happening, as shown in Bethesda's E3 test stream done today. Sourced from GameSpot.com, during the stream, the words 'Dishonored' and 'Harvey' were picked up by the microphone, Harvey being in reference to the first game's co-director Harvey Smith. Smith has been confirmed to be working with Arkane again on another project, but the exact nature is unknown, which leads this all to circle together as confirming a new Dishonored. Bethesda spoke out about the test run on Twitter, saying the run had gone just as planned, which could be a red herring. Until tomorrow, nothing is certain, but it seems Dishonored will be making an appearance at E3. Assassin's Creed Victory Teaser - Announcement Coming May 12th
VinWarrior posted a article in Other Articles
It's official - Assassin's Creed Victory is in the works for a reveal on May 12th, and you can RSVP now to see it first. As a huge Assassin's Creed fan, I was perplexed when I noticed that E3 was fast approaching and no official Assassin's Creed Victory announcement had been made. If you were like me, then May 12th is going to be a great day for Assassin's Creed according to the game's official website and Twitter.com account. Ubisoft released a teaser showing an Assassin in midnight black robes with gold lining, holding a staff with a vulture's head in one hand, and a hidden blade being released in the other, to the sound of thunder. The tagline is 'Oppression Has To End' and seems to hint at another revolution style event like in Unity and ACIII. Fans before have indicated that black and gold surroundings in the Animus suggest Abstergo as the culprit, whereas lighter colours usually indicate the Assassin Order's official Animus, from what we can tell, Assassin's Creed Victory will have us again as an Abstergo employee, but only time will tell further details. Going to the official website reveals a gold brass knuckle with the Assassin order logo and the sounds of a pub active and about. The brass knuckle has the phrase 'Strength Through Loyalty' written on it, and opening the video in another tab shows the rest of the writings on the wooden pallet, such as 'God Save The Queen', which is ironic since today is Election Day in Britain. UPDATE 1: According to Kotaku, the game is now called Assassin's Creed Syndicate, until proven however, we're sticking with VIctory. View attachment: AC Victory.png I'm very excited for Victory's official reveal, though Assassin's Creed Unity was disappointing, it seems Ubisoft is taking their time with revealing this, which may well be a good thing. I want to hear your thoughts though, where do you want Assassin's Creed to go next? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading! -

With E3 Microsoft press conference over it is now time to Recap all the things! We start off with Call of Duty: Advanced Warefare Call of Duty was first to appear at E3 showing an impressive trailer. Showing a set of playable segments showing the following: -Jet packs -Mechs -Matrix style drone swarms -Customisable grenades (EMP, Pulse and Seeking) -A laser type riot shield At least... That's all I noted. The graphics looked amazing but I hope the enemy isn't really that easy to fight. Next up we can already see someone die. Massive spoiler? Also we see how out main character loses his arm in a pretty nicely done cutscene in my opinion. Forza 5 and Horizon 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63JNz7UZYwU With the recent announcements of both games we now get to see what they were talking about. Forza 5 is getting a free DLC which features the Nürenburger track which is an actual existing racing track and put into the game with 100% accuracy. Then (rather quickly) we move on to Horizon 2. Horizon 2 is built off the Forza 5 engine. Which will give us 1080p grahics. They've also implemented a huge amount of sweet looking cars that we will be able to race around in an open world. Want to play with your friends or online? Almost no waiting time due to dedicated servers which will hook you up in not time at all. Next to all that you can create your own club (clan) which can feature up to 1000 members! The game is set to release at September 30th. Evolve Evolve is a class based game in which you have to take down large monsters, with guns and everything of course. Next to 4 player co-op mayhem one will also be able to play as the actual monster to ruin the day of your friends. Expect a lot of IRL hitting! Xbox One owners will get an exclusive beta acces. Get some! Assassins Creed Unity [PEGI 18] A new Assassins Creed title is already coming up! Set during the french revolution. What makes this one different is the fact that you can play the game in a 4-player co-op. We were shown just that on stage. 4 players sneaking around and taking down hostiles together to eventually assassinate the target by throwing him out of a window towards a crowd of blood thirsty people which proceeds to kill him in quite a gruesome manner. One thing I noticed was that the parkour looked a lot better. Smoother and quicker. Then again when the guy walked though a crowd I saw some bumps and it looked iffy. But still plenty of time to fix that right? Next up was a Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer The trailer looked nice but there was little info given. One thing we do know is that is will release on October 7th Sunset Overdrive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz6pvejrQmg Sunset Overdrive gave us a very fun trailer. The game will be set in Sunset city, which is now overrun by mutated humans. The mutation was caused by an energy drink that the mutants still crave next to your skin. Also breaking the fourth wall was quite prominent. The style of the game is very cartoony with 'boom' and 'splat' appearing in blood or explosions. It also features a lot of parkour and jumping around while shooting the absolute -Yoink!- out of everything in your path, mutants and hostile humans alike. I enjoyed the trailer very much Sunset Overdrive will feature a 8 player co-op mode on dedicated servers in which you'll cause absolute chaos! The release date is set on the 28th of October. Capcom 31st anniversary Capcom decided to give us a DLC for Dead Rising 3 with a title so long that I wasn't able to put it down on paper... Featuring all of the Capcom Characters in a arcade game. You can even play as tofu! What more do you want to hear from me?! TOFU!!! You can play together with 3 other friends as of now. Because the game has been released JUST NOW! Dance Central Spotlight Dance your heart out in the new Dance Central title. Although the guy who presented it didn't look like dancing to me... Dance to all the popular songs coming September. Digital release only. Fable Legends Fable Legends will send us back to the world of Albion and we'll get to see some old friends and corny jokes. The game will feature 4-player co-op and each player can invoke a different role which each different skills. There can also be a villain player that can ruin your day by placing traps and monsters around every corner. Griefers eat your heart out! Project Spark Project Spark has already had a beta in which we could get familiar with the game. This game allows you to do absolutely everything! Make you own game, create your own world, create anything you like from the ground up! Our little friend Conker also made a brief appearance... Interesting. Ori The game Ori was showcased in a very touching trailer. The style reminded me of Limbo, only this game is very colourful. Dem feels ;-; The Master Chief collection https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iGcS-0KpVw Holy -YOINK!- This is just about everything we had been hoping for. We started of with a trailer for the next Halo. We heard the Arbiter and saw the mysterious spartan which now has a name, Agent Clarke. Agent Clarke is in search of the Master Chief but the role of the Arbiter is still a bit shady. Is he searching too? But lets not forget everything leading up to Halo 5. That's why 343i is releasing the Master Chief collection. One disc that features all the previous Halo games with all the content unlocked and more. The Disc will contain: Halo CE: Anniversary With the original multiplayer instead of the Halo: Reach version Halo 2: Anniversary Which features a remade campaign, multiplayer and achievements Halo 3 Which features all DLC content. Maybe even Flaming helmet? Halo 4 Which features all DLC content. Maybe even all pre-order armours? A live action series called Halo: Nightfall A beta acces key for Halo 5 arena which will be available this ummer 4000 gamerscore. Happy hunting! All this can be accesed from just one single disc seamlessly and will release the 11th of November Inside https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTK1QtmHACg A trailer for Inside was shown. The game is set in a world in which everyone is controlled by automatons. You play as a boy who is still free. The game is similair to Limbo as it is created by the same developers. A whole load of games coming to the Xbox One is show... Too much to all write down... Sorry! Tomb Raider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kLAyzmWnk4 A trailer for Tomb raider is shown. Of course you still play as Lara Croft. Not very much is shown next to that. The Witcher 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVlE8BXEbpE The developers of The Witcher 3 show us a bit of gameplay 10 hours into the game. They hunt down a monster in a very very large world. Because of this open world it is very likely that you side track slightly. By bandits for example. The game will also feature interactive dialogue. Killer instinct https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnhEeZY75C0 This game made a brief appearance in the pre-show. Not much else was done during the conference. Phantom Dust A trailer for Phantom Dust is shown. This will be a fighter game. The Division https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWJD8DMasCU Although this game has been delayed the developers showed a bit of gameplay. Starting off below ground they show us a holographic map which shows where you are between the buildings and streets around you and a holographic image of thing that happened in the past. Upon contact with enemies you AI friends will actually have a lot of actual dialogue. Reacting directly to things happening around you. Also I liked the style very much! Scalebound Scalebound showed us a trailer with a lot of monsters fighting and of course the character you play as gets involved to. Fighting with a headphone on blasting some fitting music. Not much else is shown. Crackdown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqWvvmgFDt4 Crackdown makes a return! Featuring better graphics, but keeping the old style. Play with a friend in a open world on dedicated servers. The trailer also showed a lot of destruction, will we be able to destroy buildings in this world? This conculdes everything shown at the conference. I will try to add the trailers and gameplay video as they appear to fill up the games that didn't have that much info. Speculate down below! Thank you for reading!

Hello dedicated readers, welcome to the Weekly News Wrap-Up, the eighth edition, wow I'm really milking this cash cow! Speaking of cash cows, we have quite a few of those in today- What? I'm being told we can't call these games 'cash cows'... Uh-huh... Apparently I'm fired. Welp, there goes my income for my three kids... Enjoy the Wrap-Up! View attachment: WNW 61414.JPG Diablo III Confirmed for 900p on Xbox One; 1080p on PlayStation 4 Diablo III: The Ultimate Evil has become a widely pre-ordered hit making it's way to Current Generation consoles, and naturally the question buyers are asking is what the resolution of the game is? According to IGN.com, the game will run at a confirmed 900p on the Xbox One, and 1080p on the PS4, both at a 60 frames per second lock. This news came from the Senior Producer's own mouth, Julia Humphreys, who only said, "We're prioritizing frame rate." This is surprising considering it wasn't mentioned at E3, which is strange as most developers would bring it up. Of course this is likely due to the apparent partnership with PS4 as the Ultimate Evil Edition only appeared at the Sony conference, and has PlayStation exclusive content. Phil Spencer also responded over Twitter, making it apparent that the resolution wasn't his choice and he never spoke to Blizzard personally on the matter. View attachment: Diablo-3-Reaper-of-Souls-Soundtrack.jpg What do you think, is it disappointing that it's only 900p on Xbox One, or is it okay for the 'next' generation to put out a 900p game? Discuss below! Grand Theft Auto V Announced for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 The Current Generation version of Grand Theft Auto V had a huge amount of rumors and speculation around it, so it was a given that this confirmation would happen, likely at E3. EscapistMagazine.com reports that the game, which was revealed at E3, will becoming at an unannounced date this fall for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. It will include visual upgrades, added content, and a bonus video editor for PC users. The game is available for pre-order already, and is likely partnered with PlayStation in some way, as it was revealed at their conference and shows PS4 footage. Mass Effect Prequel Teased at E3 Mass Effect has become a pop culture hit in it's latest years, and fans were foaming at the teeth for a new reveal at E3's conference, what they got only managed to tease more, on Mass Effect's account, the set of interviews and concept images can be seen in a short video talking about the move in a new direction. The game is shown to have Krogan-esque figures, and enter a new region of the galaxy currently unexplored. The main character also has beefy armor, looking quite a bit like that of a Cerberus trooper, and follows a galaxy map of sorts, like usual. The N7 logo is also shown off multiple times, as well as vast open terrains mimicing that of the old expansive lands to drive the Mako around, a much missed vehicle. This teaser basically sums up that the game is in development and it won't be long before we see more of it. View attachment: ME-E3.jpg What did you think of the teaser, was it done well enough to entice you further? Debate below, and thanks for reading! Thanks for reading indeed, and I'll see you next time on the Weekly News Wrap-Up!

This year's E3 looks to get better and better with anticipation building up around many titles, most importantly though the next Halo game. Phil Spencer replied to a fan on Twitter today, saying: "Halo news will be coming at E3. 343i has a great plan in place, will be cool to share with everyone." Now whether this Halo news is for a supposed Halo 2 Anniversary or Halo 5 no one really knows. But recent reports from around the gaming world have been leaning heavily towards Halo 2 Anniversary: With reports of Steve Downes confirming Halo 2's release then quickly retracting the comment and Waypoint tweeting a Halo 2 Master Chief figure that includes a card for "unlockable content." But there has still been no official word from Microsoft or 343 industries specifically confirming Halo 5 or Halo 2 Anniversary for 2014. We only know, "Halo news will be coming at E3." What kind of plan does 343i have in place? Is this E3 news going to be about Halo 5, Halo 2 Anniversary, maybe even both? Leave your thoughts in the comments bleow. SOURCE: IGN

View attachment: gta-v-.jpg What do you think of the news? Are you excited for GTA V on the newer platforms, enough to pre-order or buy day one? Let me know below! First and foremost the Microsoft E3 Press Conference was fantastic! Full of surprises (Ahem, the Conker Character in Project Spark, and Crackdown 3), and I have to say it was very enjoyable for something I'm not usually into watching. Now onto Halo. Halo 5: Guardians Beta On Halo Waypoint, it states that the Halo 5: Guardians Beta is scheduled to run from December 27, 2014 - January 22, 2015. Requirements: - You must be 17 or older to participate. - The Beta requires the Halo: The Master Chief Collection game disc to play. - Xbox One, internet and Xbox Live Gold membership required (obviously). I'm not sure how you actually get into the Beta firsthand. On the Page it states that participating in the beta unlocks content in both the Master Chief Collection, and Halo: Nightfall, and that the "Exclusive Items" will carry over into the Halo 5: Guardians game. Halo 5: Guardians releases sometime in late 2015 (the release date has not been announced, as stated on Waypoint). Halo: Nightfall Halo: Nightfall is a 5 Episode Live Action Series with episodes releasing on a weekly basis. The story as quoted from Waypoint: "A strange and treacherous world exposes elite UNSC operatives to a much deeper danger in this live action series from 343 Industries and Scott Free Productions. Executive-produced by Ridley Scott, Scott Free TV President David Zucker, and directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan ("Battlestar Galactica," "Pillars of the Earth," "Heroes"), Halo: Nightfall is an exciting new story for Halo fans and fresh audiences alike." During E3 I remember the lady from 343i stating that the show will have the Character from the Halo 2: Anniversary/Master Chief Collection Trailer, and the Halo 5: Guardians teaser art. Though I don't know if that's true, so don't take my word for it. On Waypoint it says that it'll be on Xbox One, and Windows 8.1 (at least it says they're required), but I'm sure the episodes will also be viewable on most Online Video sites, like Youtube. As of now I don't think the launch date has been announced, but please tell me if it has. *Pertaining to both the Beta, and Halo: Nightfall, Waypoint states that the dates, content, and features are subject to change.* SOURCE: HaloWaypoint.com - Thoughts? View full article

After a ton of leaks surfaced online yesterday, the devs took things into their own hands and decided to officially announce the next title in the Battlefield franchise - Battlefield Hardline. According to the announcement posted on the Battlefield Blog, the game is being developed by Visceral Games, not DICE. In addition to that, the game, which is said to be the first title in "a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise," will focus on the war on crime (cops vs. robbers). Visceral Games general manager Steve Papoutsis had the following to say about how Hardlines came to fruition: "Several years ago, I was at an internal EA meeting in Barcelona with creative leaders from across the company. It was here I met Karl Magnus Troedsson, the GM of DICE, for the first time, and we immediately began talking about games. I’ve always loved Battlefield and KM was a huge fan of Dead Space, so we started talking about different ways we could work together, different ways we could take Battlefield and action games in a new direction. And from that point, the project that would become Battlefield Hardline was born." He went on to state that more will be revealed at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (obviously), during which gamers will be told more about "the ways we are adding new twists and turns to the foundation of Battlefield multiplayer, more about how we’re bringing our strengths at Visceral to single player." On another note, a lot of leaks on the contents of the game have already begun to surface. One of the many videos ib the leaked weapons, gadgets, and ranking system can be viewed below (it appears the game will be using a prestige system similar to that which is used in the Call of Duty franchise...). So what do my fellow Battlefielders think about Battlefield Hardline? Is it too soon for another Battlefield game to be released? Is Battlefield starting to become the next Call of Duty? Let me know! Nintendo's classic and original Handheld has turned 25 years old today. This may be strange for those who remember it's first release... (You are not that old) but for many fans of this classic hand held device, it brings a great dose of nostalgia. "Happy birthday, Game Boy! Nintendo’s famous portable is 25 years old today. The handheld would see numerous successors, peripherals, and notable games during its 15 years of dominance before the Nintendo DS would take over as the new brand for the Japanese gaming giant’s portable endeavors." Said Mike Minotti of VentureBeat.com. You can clearly see how much Nintendo's handheld line has grown, ranging from the Game Boy, to Nintendo DS, and eventually the Nintendo 3DS and beyond. However, could Nintendo be missing out on a great opportunity? With the recent shortcomings from Nintendo's Wii U sales figures, Nintendo could use a bit of a boost in the Gaming industry. So, would a re-launch of a slightly updated version of the Game Boy give Nintendo that jump? It could draw in fans of the now 25 year old system into buying it, as well as bringing in a new generation of Game Boy fans. With the Game Boy, there could also be re-releases of the classic and popular games that everyone came to know and love. So, could a re-release benefit Nintendo at all? What would you think if they chose to take this path? Would you be interested in a re-release of Game Boy (updated, of course)? SOURCE: IGN View full article
