ONI SPECWAR GROUP 3. Is a new halo clan geared in the directrion for older players ,couples and those with kids of ther own. Most members are in there mid to late 20's we focus on helping one another with in game goals and achievements and to provide a comfertable gaming environment & community for mature/older adults to get together and just play halo. FDS stands for Fatal Death Squad. Formed in 2007 with the release of Halo 2, FDS continues to strive forward with it's message of gaming with honor and integrity. This is what drew me to FDS. It's a community where you can login, go to the community gamertag & see who's playing. Join a friend or rally some members for a round of SWAT or a match on Slayer!! FDS has the goal of creating a safe haven for like-minded gamers regardless of gender, race, national origin, religion, marital status, or disability. However you must be 16 or older to join. We believe that all gamers should have a place to play where they won’t have to put up with any type of drama or problems and be free to enjoy the game to its full extent. In the FDS Community we do recognize player skill; however, we believe that gaming is more about having fun and enjoying the game with friends. FDS has both casual and competitive gamers that actively participate in our community. Keeping that in mind, there is always a place for anyone looking to join. You don't have to change your gamertag but we do ask that you change & remain in uniform colors. Our main reasoning behind this is recognition. Your teammates & other community members are easier to identify in the heat of battle!! Halo Community Unity I have recently been looking over some posts by Twinreaper and myself and have thought about our community and how we are doing. It feels like we are really pulling together again and I feel like we should extend our desire to bring the Halo community together beyond our forum. Take it into match making and the various other places that you interact with Halo fans. We have a brand new game that can offer a brand new start are bringing the community back together and move forward into the future of Halo. 343 Studios has done their part in creating a game that best speaks to the various interests of all of Halo's sub cultures. Where it can not be the one single game any one fan or group can say they wanted as a whole, it reflects as much a possible what they felt was needed for the community, the franchise and to step into the future with a new gaming experience. Twinreaper made this comment in his thread: "Anyone who would go to various websites around the net, could plainly see how divided and segregated we have allowed ourselves to become. Because of the fragile nature of a community with various sub-cultures, we lost our main goal. Our main goal used to be a simple fun gaming experience in which we all participated, respected one another, and worked towards making the gaming experience a great one, for all walks of life and gaming preferences. Now, we have sub-cultures who would rather shun, insult, ignore and plain out despise any other sub-culture whom does not share the same views. This is dangerous! This alone is why Halo is failing as a community and a franchise. We have lost ourselves among the years of gameplay and interactions resulting their of." This is not true of all sub cultures, but it is still a fact within the community. The casuals vs the hyper competitive's of the 'noobs' vs the experienced are some of the divisions he was referring to. You have to lead by the example of how you interact with others in the community, how you represent yourself. Are you a positive influence or someone who promotes negativity. Jeevo 92 offered this in my thread: "Yes. We are. Whether we realize it or not we NEED to be. So by necessity we are ready. I may not answer posts like I should sometimes. Sometimes I let my viewpoint be the ONLY viewpoint that I allow to be said without me totally tearing that person apart. But that's not right. We are all the same in one way...... we play Halo. We are gamer's and we play Halo. I read some of the books, I have all of the games...but that does not make me better or more of a fan than say, (for the sake of what I am saying) little Johnny who is 8 (thats about how old i was when i played Halo CE for the first time) and who just joined the forums an just got Halo Anniversary. His opinion and ideas should have just as much respect as a member who has been here since the beginnin of the games. He is one of us and deserves our respect and our comradeship." So whether here in the forum or out among our community we should always make the real effort to find the things that unify us rather than separate us from each other. Bungie created this whole experience for us and did so well for so long to support the community in a wide variety of ways. We need to continue the tradition of finding ways to appreciate what we have and embrace what the future will bring.

I have read nearly every single post in these forums that have been offered since I joined in early July and every single one since becoming a Moderator. I have read some very good OP's and responses and there have obviously been threads created that box respondents into defending their likes, beliefs and desires. There will always be those who will enter the forums upset about something or tired of feeling left out or not represented because of play lists, bloom issues, etc. Arguments in what we hope for in the Halo 4 game spring up like wild flowers because posters use hard language and stereotype others. I would like the senior members to really try to take a pause before responding and realize what this forum is about. We want fans to be active with ideas, offer their opinions and there hopes for the future. Look past the challenges you feel towards your beliefs and attempt to bring unity into these forums, not continual encouragement of arguments with your responses. We will always have our favorite game in the series, our feelings that this works and this doesn't and all still be fans of Halo. There is no one definition of a Halo fan. We come from all walks of life, all ages and all different kinds of gaming experiences. I personally have been no less a Halo fan because I never delved deep into it's books or lore. I simply love the best game series that has ever been made, some of them more than others, but still an enduring fan. I have recently gotten to know members who have peaked my interest in the history, become friends with players who have completely different views about the game and enjoy seeing all the great, and yes bad, ideas find there way into the forums. So I ask you, "Are we ready to unite again?".
