Hello, first time coming onto these forums. Unfortunately with a bad experience. My EVGA RTX 3090 Gaming Ultra FTW3 gpu just died due to Halo Reach MCC. And in the strangest of ways. PC Specs: EVGA RTX 3090 Gaming Ultra FTW3 Intel I7-12700K ASUS Z690 TUF Gaming Plus Wifi D4 Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.Black CPU Cooler 32GB Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz cl16 DDR4 (2x16) 2tb Inland m.2 PCIE Gen 4 (7000r/6850w) - Installed on this drive 1tb Samsung 980 PCIE Gen 3 EVGA 1000w G5 Supernova 80+ Gold Fractal Design Torrent Case Running Windows 10 Drivers and Windows all up to date GPU never exceeds 63c. I had no issues while playing halo reach, but when I opened the settings during the portion of the second level when you see the marines who had been interrogated, the case and gpu fans sped up to max, there was a pop, the entire computer restarted, and the GPU would not come back on. I replaced the gpu with my 3080 TI from my living room build, and everything is working fine again. I have never had these issues or anything remotely similar occur with any other game or scenario. I had no undervolt or overclock on the GPU. I have ran benchmarks which fully utilized the GPU and stress tested the system several times. Can one of the Devs respond with some sort of insight as to why this would have happened, as I am now out of a 3090 due to this situation. Thank you in advance.

So I see all of these amazing maps for Halo 4 that can only be downloaded via Halo Waypoint. I and a bunch of my friends are XBone owners and have the Master Chief Collection. Is there any repository of Maps for the Halo 4 variant in MCC? We would love to play with some great customs but it seems I am unable to find any users who have them on their fileshare.

Hello World! Soon I am hoping to have a few friends over and we will all play Halo: Master Chief Collection. I have asked one friend to bring over his Xbox and we are planning to connect 4 players to each and then do an online custom game. Will this work, and if so, is there anything that I should know beforehand? Thanks!

On 4/16/15, B is for Bravo posted a status for Halo: Master Chief Collections Update. As well as other news for the community. You can view the original post on Halo Waypoint Over the past few weeks or so, 343's MCC teams have been working hard on the next Content Update, or CU, that will be released sometime next week. Date and time are not clarified as of yet, however it's going to be the next best thing right next to the February Update, allowing Matchmaking problems to be sorted out. Which turns to only have worked for many, more than everybody. They have not included all updates that will be applied, but there are a few that stand out to the Community. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. Additional penalties will be included in matchmaking. Making players focus more. Yes, 343 has decided to add in penalties for anybody who betrays and/or quits the game. Now, I am assuming these will be similar to along the lines of a mix between what Halo 3 and Halo: Reach did. Halo 3 was taking away EXP, or rank. Halo Reach temporarily banned you from matchmaking. The timer set at a minimum of 10 minutes. Which is where I get into the fun part. Ranks. Yes, 343 is rolling out the ranks! You know all those playlists that say "Unranked" with the description underneath the banner/image that reads. "Ranking Coming Soon"? Unfortunately, there's only one thing about this that they have said. It's nothing minor, but it's more of a safety precaution: "Shortly after the content update drops (we’re aiming for the next day or so), we’ll be resetting ranks for the Halo 2: Anniversary playlist, and also adding ranking to Team Slayer and the Halo Championship Series playlists. Over the following days, we’ll be monitoring results to ensure that everything is working properly before adding ranks to additional playlists." -B is for Bravo So yes, we'll be having to wait before additional playlists get ranks. But eventually they'll all finally get their ranks! Woot! Woot! Now, here's the fun part. Playlist rotation. Yep. Time to bring in the fun. SWAT is coming in! However this is the only playlist being rotated in, it will now be permanent, or a featured playlist as they call it. Last but not least, Halo 3's forge will be getting a little fix 'er upper. I'll let you read this part for yourselves: "With this same update, we’ll be bringing SWAT back as the featured playlist, this time with Halo 3 game types included, as the April CU will also bring with it some additional fixes to allow for Halo 3 map / game type integration into new and existing playlists. This also means that over the next few updates, you can expect more non-default Halo 3 maps and game types to make their way into matchmaking." -B is for Bravo That's all I got for you guys. I'm personally excited for the return of SWAT, and it being a featured playlist. All together I'm excited for this update! Let me know below, in the comments, what you think! (Disclaimer: Photo is not by me; text between quotation marks, and that are italicized, are not in my own words)

Playing Halo alone can get pretty boring after awhile. I'm searching for a crew to roll with. I'm sixteen, pretty good across all four games, and just want some friends to kick *** with (plus objective game types are really annoying with no communication) in Halo: MCC. Just a few things I'm looking for in a clan: Overall, casual. Just want some friends to pwn with. I'm not going to change my GamerTag for any clan. Non-negotiable. I will, however, change my characters' armors and color, as well as clan tags and whatnot if it's necessary. I don't want a clan overrun with people under the age of twelve. Seriously my least favorite demographic. In line with the one above, I want a clan whose members have some semblance of maturity. And a sense of humor. But yeah if your clan fits these criteria, sign me right up

MCC full Skulls list, and info from the Game Manual
I_Make_Big_Boom posted a article in Other Articles
The Master Chief Collection game manual was posted online today on xboxlive.com, and included a full list of all the MCC Skulls, and Halo 2: Anniversary Skulls. There's also some other information I'll touch on... but first we'll start with Skulls: - All the skulls from the previous games are making a return. - The original skulls in Halo 2 are still there. - 2 of the Skulls in H2A are not unlocked in the Campaign. Their requirements are in the Skull list below. - The Grunt Funeral skull is not hidden in CE since it was pre-order DLC, and therefore does not have an achievement tied to it. It also seems that Grunt Funeral will be unlocked from the start. - Most skulls spanning across Halo: CE, 2, and 3 will unlock achievements once found. Halo 4 has no skull finding achievements (since there's no skulls hidden in it's campaign). - All the Halo 3, and Halo 4 Skulls are unlocked from the start. The Halo 3 skulls are still hidden in the Campaign. - You can now toggle Halo 4 skulls in Spartan Ops. All the Master Chief Collection Skulls: Miscellaneous information from the Game Manual: - Specializations for Halo 4 are gone. - All 5 Loadouts, and Loadout items for Halo 4 are unlocked from the start. Specialization Loadout Perk exclusive items are also unlocked. - It is currently unknown what will become of the Specialization exclusive Armor, and Weapon Skins. - The 3 add-on Perks for Halo 4 don't seem to be included from the start. - Theater is only available for Halo 2: Anniversary (I'm not sure if it's fully there for H2A), Halo 3, and Halo 4 (though the availability to each of those games is questionable). Theater is not in Halo: CE or Halo 2. - Theater clips cannot be permanently saved to your File Share. You can save clips using Xbox DVR. - The number of people who can be in a Forge game at a time is maxed at 8. - A popup to download the Halo Channel app may appear the first time you watch Halo: Nightfall, but it's unknown if you need the app to watch the show. - Subtitles for all the games can be toggled on or off. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thoughts? Well, the Halo 2 Anniversary Trailer wasn't all that was revealed today at San Diego's Comic Con. 343 also threw out some new pictures showing off the Anniversary edition of the fan favorite map, Zanzibar! Zanzibar looks beautiful! We can expect more screenshots of other maps in the future like at Gamescom, as well as the reveal of the last 2 of the 6 expected map remakes! We've seen a lot of Halo 2: Anniversary reveals over the past number of months especially screenshots of in-game footage and cinematics. Just after the new site update over at Halo Waypoint a few more images of cinematic screenshots have surfaced, they aren't entirely new reveals but still definitely worth a good look at. Although I believe we get our first look at the Prophet of Regret Thanks to our own Hell Verruckt for kindly passing this news to me. First up we have an image of the actual game box of the Master Chief collection complete with art. Here we have some more cinematic shots of Thel 'Vadam(ee)/The Arbiter, Fleet Admiral Sir Terrence Hood, Prophet of Regret and Sergeant Major Avery Johnson. Leave a comment and tell us your thoughts. Amidst the chaos brought on humanity by the covenant, in the face of certain death, an elite group of spartan 111's known as the headhunters were selected for what would seem like suicide missions. The headhunters bought the UNSC critical tactical advantage with their "fear nothing" courage.Spartans don't die, they're just missing in action. Order of the New Atlas (ONA) is a sangheili clan based on the masterchief collection. We are hoping to raise up a formidable army much like our last on Reach. People joining this clan should expect strict leadership. ONA is a convalescent institute for players looking to build their skill. We see small custom games as a waste of our time (what you do with your time is your business while in the clan, do not expect clan time to go towards meaningless customs). Please don't contact us if... -You insist on yelling through your headset, at us or people around you. -You are younger than 13 (13 is still stretching it by our standards, be mature). -You can't speak English (pretty impressive if you could read this far). -You don't have a mic. -You are not willing to change your armor or emblem. -You will run off at the first sight of disciplin. Training is pretty straight forward. -team building skills and exercises. -BR skill building. -callout classes -advanced weopon training Send messages (xbox) to myself, Apex Arbiter, or imsupercooLL if you have questions or want to join.

Ok, so 343's giving away all these great things to make up for the buggy servers and such. Every one who played the Master Chief Collection before December 19th is getting; 1 month of gold Halo 3 ODST exclusive avatars, and exclusive nameplates. Now I get that 343 is making up to the fans who had to put up with buggy servers, but the servers are still buggy. Still to this day I can rarely get into a game! And I started playing on December 26th. So, what I'm wondering is, what will the fans like me get for compensation? I feel like we are missing out on a lot of great content, just because we happened to wait a little longer to play, and are still facing the same issues as the people who played before the 19th. What do you guys think about this?

Please, with all of my heart and nostalgia. I am begging for a way to join user-created Custom Game lobbies in Halo: TMCC and Halo 5. A list of open and available lobbies for user-created game types would be at the top of my list of wishes. Please 343i, say it will be so! I want to join private super bouncing lobbies, hide n seek, cat n mouse, Trash Compactor & other creative user-created game types! I don't want matchmaking to be the only way to join a public game. And trying to find friends/friends of friends to invite to a private custom game is a huge pain when all it takes is a custom game 'server list' of available user created lobbies. There are so many fun game variants created by users! Please give us a way to host custom games and have them available to the public for people to join. It would be an identical feeling of a big LAN party... Well, one with voice chat only xD - Lou This is what someone said in the Halo Waypoint forums. I couldn't have said it better so I copied and pasted it. Here's the original forum post: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst249152_Suggestion--Halo2-MCC-NEEDS-custom-lobby-list.aspx

Throughout my halo career I have delved into nearly every aspect of the games. I have vanquished covenant, silenced the flood, and conquered matchmaking. Now a new point has come, the weight of halo and it's responsibility lay on 343s shoulders. With this moment coming, I can only voice my opinion to the new parents of halo. My concerns are first laid upon the master chief collection. All bugs put aside, it shines bright in the collection of halo, however there are larger concerns. For example, custom games. I find it very difficult to connect with the community due to the games difficult setup. One feature in particular bothers me the most. This feature is the one that does not allow other players to join in a game in progress. Not only does this frustrate me, but it also grinds the gameplay to a halt whenever someone else wishes to join in the fun. This is a basic component to the game, and certainly lowers the value without it. Next is the upcoming title 'Halo 5: Guardians'. I am interested in the story of this game. 343 has done well in their campaigns so far, but yet again I am concerned for the multiplayer. Watching the gameplay I noticed many aspects that were questionable to the seasoned halo player. For instance, the automatic callouts during gameplay made me think the game was being dumbed down. Part of the competitive edge I enjoyed about having a team was being able to communicate exclusively. The tedious timing on weapon spawns gave a player the upper hand. However looking at this gameplay makes it look like there is little room to overcome your enemy in method. Halo 5 also concerns me in its customization. I myself have always found that halo has given the most expansive customization to its players, but looking into halo 5 it seems there will be less. I talk about the elite player models. I fear 343 will yet again forsake the elite choice as they did in halo 4. Having elites available open up many different opportunities. Machinamas, matchmaking games (invasion), or even a story connection, and if none of these, just basic preference. If you have successfully made it through my lengthy complaints, I thank you for listening. I only hope 343 will take my opinion into account, for there are many others like myself, one just needs to look. -Apex

The Master Chief Collection game manual was posted a while ago on xboxlive.com, and included a full list of all the MCC Skulls, and Halo 2: Anniversary Skulls. There's also some other information I'll touch on... but first we'll start with Skulls: - Most of the pre-order Skulls are now unlocked in the MCC (except for Feather, which is exclusive until March 27th it seems). Bandanna, Boom, Bonded Pair, Pinata, and Grunt Funeral are now unlocked. - All the skulls from the previous games are making a return with a few new ones for Halo 2. - The original skulls in Halo 2 are still there, and are listed below along with the other Skulls. Most of the original skulls in Halo 2 require you to play on Legendary to find. - You can use skulls with 0.00x multiplier (like Bandanna, and Scarab) to find skulls in the Campaigns, and still get achievements for them. - The skulls hidden on the Mythic maps in Halo 3 are still there, and can be found in Forge mode. - The Grunt Funeral skull is not hidden in CE since it was pre-order DLC, and therefore does not have an achievement tied to it. - Most skulls spanning across Halo: CE, 2, and 3 will unlock achievements once found. Halo 4 has no skull finding achievements (since there's no skulls hidden in it's campaign). - All of the Skulls are unlocked from the start except for the "Swarm" Skull in Halo 2. - You can now toggle Halo 4 skulls in Spartan Ops. - Skulls with a Score Multiplier of 0, when activated, cannot earn you specific Achievements in the MCC (such as the Scarab & Bandanna Skulls). For a list of all the pre-order bonuses head here: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/35475-halo-the-master-chief-collection-pre-order-skulls-and-bonuses/ All Skulls in the MCC list that are Pre-Order bonuses & miscellaneous offers will be denoted by a ***. All original Halo 2 Skulls that can be found in the Campaign will be denoted by this color, and every other skull will be this color. All the Master Chief Collection Skulls & LASO Playlists: Miscellaneous information from the Game Manual: - Specializations for Halo 4 are gone. The Specialization exclusive armor & skins are unlocked from the start. - All 5 Loadouts, and Loadout items for Halo 4 are unlocked from the start. Specialization Loadout Perk exclusive items are also unlocked. - The 3 add-on Perks for Halo 4 don't seem to be included from the start. - Theater is only available for Halo 2: Anniversary (I'm not sure if it's fully there for H2A), Halo 3, and Halo 4 (though the availability to each of those games is questionable). Hey everyone! I recently put together a music video telling the chronological story of Master Chief Petty Officer John 117, using the song "Warriors" by imagine dragons. Most of the footage used is from the updated cutscenes from the Master Chief collection. Enjoy!

i am sick of the bullcrap i encounter on the garbage that is called Halo 2, i need (everyone else) some real action and stable gameplay. I feel cheated that they have taken out half of the decent playlists for along while now. Atleast Halo 4 to come back first, SWAT also... i didnt even get a chance to play most of the gametypes before 343 took them down...

The hit detection in halo 2 is really frustrating I notice this mostly when sniping especially at a long distance your shots don't register. I noticed is a little with the BR and other weapons but nothing like long range sniping. One example a player was standing still on Ascension and the bullet went through his head and didn't register. I wish they used the xbox one version of Halo 2 and not the Vista version. From what I hear this is a normal thing with the Vista version. Possibly they can alter the hit detection ? There are also other small problems which I noticed the grenade hit radius is sometimes messed up. I played Halo 2 for original xbox so I notice these things and they are quite annoying. My highest level in original Halo 2 was 43 so I know its not a problem with my aim.

Now we know that MCC has been released in some countries and for some it is not long until it's release date is due and many are excited about what MCC has to offer the Halo community and of course most notably the bring back of Halo 2 multiplayer -which has brought a sense of joy, that this heart stopping moment has made great impact on many Halo gamers as if 343 has answered their prayers on what many fans considered to be their top number one as most wanted on their wishlist bucket load on MCC. So the question would be, what will be the first thing you do once you get MCC? I am intrigued to know that maybe a majority of you will go for the campaign or maybe even the multiplayer or perhaps the forge as well. Post your comments below

Hi guys an girls. I just created this account because my copy of the master chief collection is missing forge mode theater mode and the anniversary maps and halo 3 and maps. My brother said he waited until 100% install until playing. The campaign missions are all there. It I worth noting that this was done without an internet connection as a mobile connection is my only option where I live. If anyone has experienced this issue. PLEASE HELP. I would be very grateful. I have considered these features requiring online access but I have heard others say this can be done on local too.

If you are interested in helping the creation of a brand new clan created just for the Master Chief Collection, then you are in luck. As being a classic halo veteran I had always enjoyed the amazing community from each game, although more so with the expansion of the series it seems that the bulk of the community has diminished. I would love to bring back the nostalgic memories from these older games and that also includes the strong clan system along side with the games. Having the option to play any multiplayer maps from games Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 is a dream come true from the eyes of a competitive halo player. If you would like to help me rekindle the amazing moments of each of these games, then please read further for more information about the clan. L0AD (Last Order of Armed Delinquents) The name L0AD had been a creative idea rolling around in my head since Halo 3 late years. I wanted something that could be easily abbreviated and used in a GamerTag while keeping an overall epic meaning. My idea for this clan will to have a dual-rank system to where there will be a highly competitive skill rank and a overall rank such as community and clan effort. The systematical community rank system will follow a similar one to that of the Halo 3 1-50 system. Examples will be... Clan Leaders/Founders - Generals First round of recruits - Brigadiers Second round of recruits - Colonels Third round recruits - Commanders And etc... Since this is a new clan the community rank system will be based on a first come first serve basis. Although the skill rank system will be rather more interesting, as after the first few weeks the clan leaders will set up a first ever In-Clan Tournament to fight for the highest skill rank in the clan. this will be set up as the top five winners of the tournament will be known as skill rank Generals with their respected places 1-5 along side with that title. The same will go for the next five Brigadiers, five Colonels, five Commanders and so on. After a stable clan has been created there will be Bi-weekly competitions to fight for new skill rank positions. Now that there are four different halo games to choose from, we can split the clan into groups for each game having a skill tree ladder for each one. This will allow for a variety of players to enjoy the clan benefits while keeping a strong clan community over all. The clan is in its early stages of creation, merely just an idea. I believe with the help of new members it can grow into a very fun and well put together community. Also the clan will be set on an Eastern Coast US and Canada GMT-5 time zone. If you have any questions or maybe you are on-board with my Idea the you can contact me via Forum message, GamerTag (The 0ver L0ad) or post in the forum comments. I will be glad to hear any ideas from anyone. Future plans include - A clan website Clan Logo Clan Motto A proper title system Possible TeamSpeak Channel Clan Creator, The 0ver L0ad
