  1. Salutations everyone! As the title says, post games you like that went unnoticed by many. This way, we can share games that most people don't know with each other. NOTE: Do not put indie games here. They're all overlooked. I'll be making a separate topic for indie games just like this one once this one dies out. For now, keep this topic for overlooked AA - or AAA games only. Here's my top 5 list (in order of how much I enjoyed them from favorite to least favorite) 5. Mirror's Edge (Metascore: 79) Well, by now, the game has reached 2 million sales, but it took years to reach that number. Mirror's Edge is definitely overlooked. The atmosphere this game has is really unique. The story was panned by critics, but I actually liked it. Well, at least the concept behind it. This is because the story is so incredibly short and the plot twists were predictable and it ended too suddenly. As for the gameplay, critics complained about the controls being bad, however, I really had no problem at all with the controls. They were really comfortable to use. The game is especially great now that we have Oculus Rift coming in, it's like it was made for it. 4. Vanquish (Metascore: 84) Granted, the story isn't very memorable and the dialogue is cringe-inducing, but that doesn't matter. It's the gameplay that does. Vanquish does something very special with its gameplay by making things extremely over the top. The whole thing is a hectic experience and I say that in a good way. Somehow, you still have full awareness of the environment. The whole thing is very unbelievable, which leads to the fun in this game. Not to mention the graphics look very good. This game comes from Platinum Games, who later made Metal Gear Rising, another fun over-the top game in a similar style. 3. Alan Wake (Metascore: 83) Despite the high reviews, Alan Wake is an almost unknown game that many people forget. The story was incredible with a huge sense of mystery and loneliness. It's not a horror game - it's a thriller. This is one important thing people who say "it's not scary" don't understand, because it's not supposed to be. The characters are very likable and the voice acting is well done. Not to mention the music is amazing. The graphics are among the best I've seen on the Xbox 360. 2. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (Metascore: 78) The Ace Attorney games are all overlooked by many, but they still get enough attention to be profitable and I hear the series mentioned many times. The series is quite popular among DS owners/anime fans. However, none of the games are as overlooked as this one. This is mainly due to the fact that the game does not star series mainstay Phoenix Wright, but rather Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix Wright's rival who is a very stoic character in the series and hardly shows emotion. However, Ace Attorney Investigations works very well by staying true to Edgeworth's character whilst injecting the Ace Attorney feel of combining a well written storyline, charming characters, surprising plot twists, logic puzzles and comedy. 1. Crimson Skies High Road To Revenge (Metascore: 88) Crimson Skies was one incredible game in my opinion that no one even noticed. Reviews for the game were high, but despite that, the game still failed in terms of sales. This alternate reality '40s airplane flying game had incredible music, visuals and gameplay. The universe was very unique and had a great atmosphere surrounding it. Not to mention the voice acting and story were really good. For its time, the levels are really huge. This was one extremely overlooked Xbox exclusive that no one remembers. The characters are also very likable. Before Nathan Drake, there was Nathan Zachary. Crimson Skies feels like Indiana Jones put into the air with twelve unique over the top 40's-esque airplanes. Honorable mention: Aside from those games above, I'd like to mention Halo Wars and Halo 3 ODST. The thing is, they did indeed get high sales, so they weren't exactly overlooked. But among Halo fans, they definitely are. These two games are masterpieces and they aren't "rubbish" as many Halo fans I've noticed like to believe. These two were incredible games that deserve to be played.
