So I was wondering what everyone's favorite RPG is as of late. Give me the name of the game and what console it released on and type of RPG and I'll check it out, my personal favorite RPG is Mother 3 for the GBA... but unfortunately its a Japan only release so I had to find an English patch and emulator just to play it, but that's besides the point. Also, am I the only one irritated at the lack of RPGs on the Xbox 360? (Not counting Bethesda games because they're too easy IMO and i prefer turn-takes) Also, try and not be too hasty towards people who prefer a game different than you do, I want this to be a friendly post.

Core modes version of my Infection map A Competitive Slayer Map Supports: FFA, CTF, SH & A This is an old town on a beach, I tried to make it seem like a real medieval place but with aspects that spartans can use for combat. It is set up to play any core game mode, I think that Capture the Flag really shines here. I had a lot of fun building it. Download to walk around the map!

I haven't played in any medieval RPG towns in a while because I quit WoW years ago, haven't touched Fable since the 2nd release, stopped playing Elder Scrolls and can't afford to buy MORE xbox games, so I decided to work really hard on making one of my own in Forge This was submitted to the "Hub of the Dead" infection maps forge contest! While forging this map, my sister suggested to name it "FERINDALE", a name that means "Town of the roaming wanderer" Please have a look if you like RPGs!

A brand new entry into the Deus Ex series, Mankind Divided, has been revealed over on NeoGaf! I must admit, Square Enix was seeming a bit dry as of late, but this news looks to have flipped that on it's head. Someone on NeoGaf.com revealed screenshots and a gameplay description of a new Deus Ex game called Mankind Divided. The game will center around Adam Jensen, the protagonist of the previous game Human Revolution. The plot details are light, but it is known that since Human Revolution, augmented and ordinary people have been separated into social castes, and this leads to conflict. As in the past, putting in more effort will reward more payout as your actions affect the course of the game, so going stealth is likely the best option. The AI has been heavily improved to make open combat a bit trickier as the new system's tactics will give players a run for their money. A host of old abilities have been improved, including some new blade/crossbow tricks, and a shield that Adam can utilize. There will be no transfer from your previous game, so as far as story goes, most decisions likely won't matter. The game will release on an unknown date as of yet for Xbox One, PS4, and the PC, no last generation launch due to the game's prowess. View attachment: xaFXddA.jpg I'm a huge Deus Ex fan, so I'm really excited to see where Mankind Divided goes! What do you guys think of this info, are you a fan too? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading.

So i recently bought RPG maker on my pc, and decided, that im gonna make a game loosely based on the forums here, i say loosely because i may or may not need the change things up to fit my narrative. So my question is would anyone be interested in playing it? And seeing as i dont want to put anyone in it without asking so if anyone would like to be in it as an NPC let me know. Also know that im a pretty bad writer so the story will mostly likely suck and be full of plot holes and spelling errors.

So I found this online and figured I would share. If 343 does go this route, I will forever be a number one fan. The link to the article is below. I posted my favorite part from it below. http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/19745/20130903/halo-5-release-date-news-plot-details.htm At the moment 343i is in the prototype phase, but i will post the current state of Halo for Xbox One. Just a reminder that the game you will see probably wont feature everything you are reading here. Tech: 60 FPS has been confirmed at E3, now the team around Corinne is basically taking the Halo 4 Engine, "dumps" it on Xbox One Devkits and measures the perfomance and goes from there. The Xbox One hardware is really powerful, though as many have stated not as powerful as Sony's machine. Nevertheless the team does have the goal to create one of the best looking titles next year. People are seriously overstating the power difference and underestimate the potential of the eSRAM (yes, it was included for bandwidth reasons, but the low latency does increase efficiencs in real world perfomance, if the eSRAM is used in smart way. I basically got the same code, with some optimization with the eSRAM running only 20% worse on Xbox Oen than on a PS4-Devkit from January. Now what tech and graphical features will be implemented? Deferred Shading will finally be implemented, Halo 4 was really sparse on terms of dynamic lights, a drawback of havin to use a traditional forward renderer. G-Buffer will consist of 4 MRTs. The entire pipeline is HDR and linear space. Those Render Targets will probably be stored in the eSRAM or split between the two pools, depending on perfomance. Some form of SSAO will also be implemented, Halo 4 only had static and baked AO which looked great in pictures. PRTs will be used, current tests with eSRAM and the results are amazing. Thanks to 5GB of ram (soon 6GB ) the textures will look amazing and the models will have plenty detail. There are a few drawbacks with aiming for 60 FPS. First the game will not render in native 1080p. Current resoultion on display plane 2 is 1920x720 (1,3 Megapixel compared to 2 for 1080p), display plane 1 (HUD an weapon) will be native 1080p. You literally cant tell the difference. Cloud: Dedicated Server. First titel to showcase true power of cloud processing. Massive battles with 100s of AI (calculated by the cloud); massive worlds with dynamic weathher and global lighting (all done in cloud). And yes, this will need an alway online connection(you dont need a powerful connection, those data pakets are really small) Game: Campaign is planned to be 3-5 times longer than Halo 4. No more linear , going open world. Master Chief has gone rogue, has own ship and can visit different planets (6-8 planned). Each planet has several regions with main objectives and several side missions. ( Think of Wings of Liberty or Dawn of War 2 cmapaign) Core gameplay is still Halo (2 weapons, grenades, melee; "30 seconds of fun"; sevaral different enemies) but there are RPG elements added to it: character progression (mostly items like forerunner relicts you will find that make Master Chief stronger or will give him more ablities), not really loot, but you will have to acquire weapons first, before you can use them in more missions. Weapons are stored in the armory on the ship and chief can choose his loadout, which he will use on the mission start. He can still pickup and use the weapons he finds in the different missions.Loadout weapons are basically the same you have in Halo 4 Multiplayer (you cant start with a rocket launcher, but you can call in those "super weapons" on a mission like in Infinity Multiplayer; difference is this is a limited ability, at "low level" you can call one time, this can be upgraded over time) There will be more weapons in campaign than in Halo 4(and yes more "alien" weapons; not just human weapons with a different coat) Enemies: Elites (the same faction you fought in Halo 4), Grunts, Jackals, Hunter, Brutes, Drones Promethean (heavily redesigned, more types like Promethean Warlords) Humans (yep you will gith humans, but not UNSC, those are Insurrectionists) Vehicles: Biggest number of vehicles ever. Warthog (classic, rocket, gauss), Scorpion and yes the Grizzly will be in, Mammoth, upgraded Mantis, more Halo Wars vehicles like rhino, wolverine, cobra, hornets, falcons, vultures Chiefs ship can store a limited amount of vehicles (call in similar to weapons) Forerunner War Sphinx are in, very powerful enemy "vehicles" (and yep you will fight them) To put the gameplay in campaign into perspective: The team was running an encounter test in the Halo 4 engine with prototype models. This encounter featured several hundreds of Brutes with 2 Scarabs, 10 wraiths and several ghosts and banshees fightin against one Forerunner War Sphinx and some Prometheans. Now the player could engage in that battle or just simply watch them fight (Power of the Cloud: AI in short distance to chief is process on the box; rest in the cloud) and pick off the remaing forces. Well the current player chose to engange, took his Hornet and landed it on one of the Scarabs ( the AI is amazing, the Brutes had now to choose who to fight, most forces fought against the Prometheans, a few took on the fight with chief; it really looks and feels like every single AI makes smart and menaingfull decisions)) The Player killed of the crew on the Scarab and well, thise time he doenst destroy the Core, he gets behind the wheel of the Scarav All hell breaks loose, brute forces more and more engage the rogue Scarab, while the Prometheans dont really difference their enemies. And yep the Scarabs is destroyed withing seconds , thought the Player surived thanks to god-mode. Those are the kinds of encounter you will find in the final game. Multiplayer: Split between two categories. Halo Wararena ist basically Halo 2 reloaded. No loadouts, no armor abilites and perks. Player Count 8-16, game types are Slayer, CTF(yes classic Halo CTF ), King of the Hill, Assault, Oddball.... Static weapon spawns, more weapons on map which means more ammo, weapons wont respawn as quick as in Halo 4 The seconds multiplayer categorie is titles Halo Battlefield (not final name obviously). Those are basically really big teams battles like 32-64. Gameplay is more inline with Invasion from Halo Reach. Custom Loadouts, "armor abilites" (more like class abilites), Vehicles, Infinity like call ins Thats it for the moment. Just a small glimpse into what you will eventually play in November 2014.

I'm making an open world, Mirror's Edge inspired map. It will feature active enimies, (even when playing solo) missions, many, many easter eggs and hidden weapons. However, I have a couple of questions: Can you make dominion auto turrets build themselves/be pre built? And can you set turrets physics to "Normal" so they can be affected by gravity, or pushed by gravity lifts? Map will be done ASAP, and link will be included.

Ever since H3: ODST, I have been wondering what it be like for Halo to have a MMORPG with the free roaming that H3: ODST had. I have a good idea for one.

I found out that there may be a halo RPG in the making, if there is I want to give 343 a little heads up about what we would want if they were making one; how it should play, what we would want out of it, and other things like that. What most people would want out of this a well made RPG that is close to an MMO. An FPS MMO RPG that plays somewhat like borderlands but alot more people

Hi, I would love to find any RPG that is great for xbox. Phantasy Star Universe, a great game for those who don't know, was an RPG that was cancelled back in September of 2012 on xbox and that was really a great RPG on the xbox. Anyone have any suggestions. Another game I tried to play and did not like was Dark Souls. Me and a friend are gonna start playing Mass effect 3 soon. Preferably online but offline is quite acceptable Hope these help narrow the list. Thanks

Halo Universe -An idea of a MMORPG based on Halo 4, and similar gameplay to DC Universe Online- This game is full of options and pathways that help create your character. This also does not involve a campaign, but Master Chief can help you along the way. In the character creation menu, you have many options on what your spartan will be. For example, grenadier, recon, soldier, etc. As you progress, you gain much more abilities and will eventually get to use all the classes. You start off as a recruit (training/tutorial) This part is basically explaining how to move, shoot, complete objectives, etc. After this part, you become a spartan. The game's main central hub is in the UNSC infinity. This can let you go into PvP (War Games), and Missions (Spartan Ops/Ideal way to rank up) Missions In the missions, you will get your orders from Captain Sarah Palmer. Missions vary from your class type and your rank. For example, neutralizing an enemy territory may be simple at first, but progressively gets harder as you rank up. This means more enemies, tougher enemies, and more damage. There is no difficulty in this game, but from starting the game to becoming max rank can be like going from easy difficulty to legendary difficulty. Players might be interested in it if there are almost an endless amount of missions, even/especially if you are max rank. Solo missions will reset your last objective if you die. If you are on co-op, your partner(s) will have to advance without you until they either die or complete the mission. Co-op missions will only reset your last objective if all the members in the squad have died. Missions will work in a following mini-storyline, just like Spartan Op Episodes, built in 3-5 Missions. This keeps the repeditivety low and a new experience every mission. You cannot repeat a mission, after you have either completed it or cashed in the reward. PvP In pvp, many games can still be played. Slayer, Dominion, V.I.P, King of the Hill, Infection, etc. This allows you to access commendations, and better armor. Player Your player's actions, skills, and looks all determine on how you play, and what you want to be. You can join squads (partys), fireteams (guilds) or rough it out solo. Many other players will have quests that you have, so it will be easy to complete quests when you see a fellow spartan trying to complete it. Quarters Your spartan has his/her own quarters (accessed through Infinity's Central Hub). Every player has their own private quarters, which players can invite their friends in personally. If a player gets a game invite through the dashboard, they will start the game in the quarters of the person that invited them, rather than your own. Your quarters are very important to gameplay. If you played too much missions or PvP in a row, your spartan will begin to slow down, not sprint, and miss shots constantly. You will need to sleep in your quarters to fully restore your stamina (access bed in your quarters, screen goes black for 2 seconds, you will wake up ready to go). Players are also granted movement abilities from start. They will get to choose from Jetpack or Sprint. These two are apart from armor abilites. The disadvantage that these give is that you cannot have both. Armory In your quarters, you will be able to change your character's appearance. This is called the Armory. Body appearance, and armor are seperate selections you can make. Like in DCUO, if you have armor that looks terrible, but gives amazing stats, you can use your own armor style instead of being obligated to wear something awful. Different armor will give different stats. You can also fully remove armor and just walk around with the black under armor. (If you use this in missions and/or PvP, you will have no shields or stats, but still have your weapons. Friends in your own quarters will not be able to sleep or customize their armor. You can also customize your loadouts through here. Currency Gaining Currency (Spartan Points; SP) can be either from PvP or missions. PvP will give a balanced amount of points depending on how good you play, while missions give you points on how many objectives you complete, solo or co-op. SP will allow players to buy armor that they want (regardless if its for stats or looks) instead of having to wait to unlock it. However, to keep the balance, most armor will be very expensive, and are more quicker to unlock in PvP rather than with SP. (This, of course depends on how far and dedicated you are on getting that armor). If you unlock armor through PvP, you will not be able to buy it anymore, and vice versa. This is simply because you already have it. With SP, players can also gain ordinances. They can begin a PvP match or mission with better weapons or boosts. For example, you can buy an ordinance that lets you spawn with a overshield after every time you die, or be able to gain SP or XP faster than normal. This also depends on the quantity you buy. Each ordinance will last you 1 mission or game, with the option to activate it before the game starts. Commendations Players gain commendations just like Halo: Reach and Halo 4 by completing repeditive feats. After completing commendation stages and masteries, players can gain XP and SP depending on the commendation and stage. Enemies Enemies are very common in Halo, and become much more intimidating in your spartan's future. You will be able to jump around melee'ing grunts in the face for a while, but as you progress, you'll eventually find yourself pinned down by a bunch of covenant cruisers. Missions will also get harder even as max rank, forcing you to join a squad or fireteam. There will actually be more missions done as a max rank than a progressing spartan. In missions enemies will drop weapons that will allow you to keep in storage in your armory in your quarters. Ranking System Mainly following the ranking system in Halo 3, ranks will be from 1-50. Every rank has its own correspondant name, from Recruit to 5 Star General. Also, again like Halo 3, different gametypes in War Games will also be from 1-50, and will ultimately rank up your overall rank. Your overall rank will only be shown through mission menus, service records, and leaderboards. Gameplay The game will run fairly similar to DCUO, but with Halo inspired familiarites. The HUD (Heads Up Display) will show: -Shields (Top Center) -Grenade Count/Type (Top Left) -Ammo (Top Right) -Player (Center) -Scoreboard {PvP} (Right Center) -Chat Bar (Left Center -Skill/XP bar (Bottom) Skill/XP bar Depending on your specilization, your skill will vary from many things. The skill bar works just like DCUO. For example, a standard skill would be headshot. Headshot gives a 25% damage increase on any enemies except for vehicles and hunters. This also insta-kills grunts and crawlers with a percision weapon equipped. Controls Standard controls wil go on the Xbox as follows: A - Jump B - Action/Enter Vehicle X - Shoot Y - Switch Weapons RB - Enemy Lock LB - Armor ability RT - Right Half of skills LT - Left Half of skills RS - Camera movement LS - Player/Menu movement RS (push) - Crouch LS (push) - Movement ability Back - Game Leaderboard {PvP} Back (hold) - Chat Start - Player Menu (Standard) Dpad - Menu movement Controls can be changed completely to your own liking and play style. Preset controls are not included, but players can save their own Preset controls (for players who share accounts/xbox) Chat System The chat system is standard like most MMORPGs. Like DCUO, the game will have a text chat system. The controls for the Chat Bar goes as shows: A - Open Keypad B - Close Chat Bar X - Change Text Output Y - N/A RB - Change message input (chat/game/system) LB - Change message input (chat/game/system) RT - Change Voice input (game/squad/fireteam) LT - Change Voice input (game/squad/fireteam) RS - N/A LS - N/A RS (push) - Scroll text chat LS (push) - N/A Back - Close Chat bar Back (hold) - Open Chat bar Start - Player Menu (Standard) Dpad - N/A Xbox party chat will override chat from in game, dampening sound depending on the Xbox Player preferences. The Change Text Output will allow players to change who will be able see your chat. That system follows as below: Speak - Players can only see your chat if they are right next to you. Shout - Players can only see your chat if they are near you or in the same room as you. (Can see anyone shouting when you are in the Infinity, but not in your quarters) Squad - Players can only see your chat if they are in your squad. (works anywhere) Fireteam - Players can only see your chat if they are in your fireteam. (works anywhere) Message - Can only be accessed by typing: /m gamertag . Players can only see your chat if you message them (works anywhere). Messaging players also lets you keep messaging that same person even after closing the chat bar (as long as you dont change chat). The chat bar will only update and appear every time you follow these above. The chat bar also disappears after 15 seconds of inactivity. My Personal Opinion This actually took me days to imagine, but after completing it, it sounds amazing (to me, of course). I don't know if this is terrible, but I've always wanted a MMORPG on the Xbox. Ive played the Phantasy Star Universe Demo and I enjoyed it. It was pretty sad when the servers were shut down. I don't know if this will be good because I really wish it can get as much support as a normal Halo FPS. I know it's not the same as good ol' Halo, but I hope it can even be remotely better than Halo Wars. That RTS game was isolated for not being a FPS, but I thought it was actually fun. Its also have been said that it's the best console RTS. I know 343 will not make this game, but with the slimmest glimmer of hope, I can only dream. Please make this a reality! If there is any issues, comments or concerns about this topic, please don't hesitate to say so. If you think that 343 will resent me for having an idea, don't bother to comment. I know there's barely a millionth of a percent chance that this will happen, but please give me strength in numbers! Thanks for reading this whole topic.

"Desperado" Brought to you by GryffinGuy007 Link: http://halo.xbox.com/en-au/haloreach/GryffinGuy007/fileshare#!/?section=MapVariants&MapId=&GameMode=0&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&tags=&startIndex=0&details=30570522 Gametype: Halo RPG http://halo.xbox.com/en-au/haloreach/GryffinGuy007/fileshare#!/?section=GameType&MapId=&GameMode=0&SearchDate=7&SortBy=2&view-select=Tile&tags=&startIndex=0&details=30570529 Desperado is set in a marooned village, in a fantasy world. Orcs (Elites) are attacking, and you must fight against them. Tier 1 offers only one class: Warrior (Energy Sword). Tier 2 offers two: Warrior, Marksman (Needle Rifle). Tier 3 offers three classes: Warrior, Marksman and Warden (Concussion Rifle). The Marksman represents an archer, the Warden represents a Magician. This is to be played with 8 ~ 16 players. A few issues include spawning in on a teammate and being locked inside a closed house, and some spawn point issues at certain tiers. This is my first, full invasion map (and to be honest I find it quite complicated). Hopefully I can find the time to patch these issues up, or you could do so. Thanks again, THFE.
