if you're more worried about the ranking system than the actual game play that's ridiculous. Nobody else cares what rank you are.

A lot of people care it's what makes halo competitive. it's why reach has no where near the amount of players online halo 3 had. If people are out trying to prep for an mlg event how can they get better if one game you play really good people then next you play people with very little skill. They need to have social games for the ones who don't care about rank and just fool around and ranked for those who care. I don't want to play with someone who plays a lot and still isn't up to my skill level. all the rewards it seems goes to people who have a lot of time on their hands.

The only way people will continue to play this game is if there's a ranking system. I don't understand why they are purposely guiding themselves to failure. I love the halo series but I never realized until now why I never enjoyed playing reach. I mean it was fun for a month or so but then after that what more of a reason was there to play. I sold the game. I don't understand why they purposely go against what the gamers themselves want.

Yep, looking great to me! Cummon, look at the new weapons class and the graphics that piss on all other 360 games. Halo 3 ranking system... Meh, who gives a **** - Just play it cuz it's fun - If you don't like it then don't play it, but more importantly, don't ***** about it! If you want a game like HALO3, play HALO3, if you want a game like COD - Play COD, but for christ sakes, take your stupid moaning somewhere else!

agreed, it gets boring quickly without level system like halo 2. i always get my hopes up when a new halo game arrived, hoping they will reinstate that level system but yet again they go for failure

Yeah the ranking system adds a competitive element to the game but in my honest opinion since Halo 1 the only thing that has ever mattered to me has always been the individual matches, overcoming each opponent in real time and with every move you can possibly make til the final mag not some number on a list full of kids who try to brag because of a statistic. Play the game and enjoy or ignore it and move on, if you aren't going to try it then you opinion is worthless. On a bright and fluffy side I am definitely looking forward to seeing how the campaign will turn out.

If this game does not have a skill-based ranking system like Halo 2/Halo 3 then it will lose many players really fast. So disappointed if it does not have a ranking system like Halo 3. Progression system sounds terrible.

this ranking system is trash , it doesnt separate the good ones from the bad ,, we all know a player who has a lot of exp is not necessarily a good player but a player who has a high skill (h3 ranking system) is definitely good , and both sides dont want to meet each other in matchmaking .

again no skill based level system such as halo 2. another disappointment. whats so fun with the current happy rank system in games were u only get rewarded and only level up, not down. this is taking the competitive side away. if i wanne play useless happy games ill buy a WII. such a shame this could have been so great. whats so hard about implementing both systems?

Why are they changing the ranking system!!!!! H2 and H3 ranking was the best with out question. no you get the people that suck but just play alot playing high up in the ranks and they are not having the different skill levels playing against eachother. it does not challenge players to get better just to play alot. the more skilled players cant ever better themselves since they are constantly playing against bad players who play alot.
