Guest Johnnybravo
343, The essence of halo is the excitement you get from attaining the highest rank you have ever gotten. the feeling of getting a comet in halo 2 or a 50 in halo 3 was the reason people played those games for so long. Halo has always been a competitive game and you need to keep it that way by releasing a visible ranking system as soon as possible before you lose your fanbase to people searching for more competitive games that reward winning... dnt ruckh witme
No one check's waypoint.. We all understand you are trying to satisfy the community by putting a ranking system in the game, but if its not visible we might as well be playing call of duty. Halo players THRIVE off of knowing they are better via rank, yes WINNING is almost everything but if you have the RANK and the Stats to prove it for immediate viewing that is what will make this game successful, otherwise good job making the game. Guest Jason
343i, you guys need to seriously listen to your competitive fanbase concerning the ranking system. It needs to be on our screen next to each player's name. No matter what. A 1-50 ranking system is key. We really do not care if it is more of a Halo 2 style ranking or a Halo 3 ranking system as long as there is an actual number beside our gamertags. Do not give us this crap about it will be there, but only on the halowaypoint website. We could care less. Put it on the screen next to our names. Period. If you guys do this, then you will truly have the best game on the market for many years to come. Just look at how Halo 2 changed Xbox Live. You have an opportunity here to make the same, if not better, mark in the competitive gaming world as Halo 2 did.

Dozer
csr is the do or die for this game for me if i dont have a release date for csr by christmas then oh well i trade it in for black ops 2 oh and the bolt gun charged up is way to strong also the br is a little weak oh and seriously dial down the assult rifle i should not get killed by an ar a quarter way across the map when im jumping and four shotting a bad kid
Dozer
just another idea the maps are way boring only played 2 weeks and getting old already need smaller based maps in map pack for 2v2 and 4v4 matches and when you do release a remake of an h3 map its very simple gaurdian and the pit we need maps with pinch points for map control its what the game is control the map win the game
Guest Bob's
I doubt 343 will ever read this but anyway. Just take the skill system of Halo 2 and bring it back to H4. It's not even work to do there?! Why change something which was perfect? Just bring new stuff to bring something new is pretty pointless. If you don't recognize the importance of a skill system which is visible in H4 and NOT in Waypoint, think a second about what made Halo big. And if you can't figure it out... Well, then you might have the wrong job. It's not that hard to make some good decisions. Just listen to the community... It's obvious what you have to do... There might be some grammar and spelling issues in here... Be kind. English is not my mother tongue.
Guest KewlKatzKlub
343 seriously needs to listen up here. Having an in game rank next to our gamertages helps create that competitive environment for gaming. Whenever i played H3 i always got on and looked at my rank and just wanted to improve it even more. I was driven to want to better my rank in every playlist that i played. Hiding the ranks in halo waypoint is going to make this awesome game turn way downhill. Out of all the 4 million people that played the game during the first 5 days of the H4 launch only about 212,000 people actually downloaded halo waypoint. the majority of those people probably don't even go on halo waypoint anyway. Putting ranks in waypoint is not going to help those downloads very much, and not very many people are going to be willing to go to halo waypoint in order to get a constant status update on their ranks, just sayin. 343 whether or not you guys want to keep this game in the mind of all the competitive halo players out there for the next 3-4 years is up to you guys. Guest The Turbo Slug
I'm not buying this game until they have released a viewable in-game ranking system. For all we know they are just lying to everyone to get us to buy the game and quiet the unhappy masses. I'm not buying this game until they have released a viewable in-game ranking system. For all we know they are just lying to everyone to get us to buy the game and quiet the unhappy masses. well someone is a *****. yeah that ranking system is what we want but the game is still awesome. if you were really a halo fan you wouldn't be such a whiny ***** and you'd enjoy playing, plus you'd buy it for the campaign, which is fantastic and an excellent introduction to 343's Saga

Guest MLG Cyan
As far as the in-game ranking system is concern, it needs to be a rank 1-50 beside our gamertags like Halo 2 and Halo 3. That much is certain. As far as the maps going to be put in eventually, we want The Pit or Guardian or Lockout/Blackout. All were great maps. The Pit for MLG, Snipers, Slayer. You guys (343i) can make whatever you think is best but the truth is it will not compare to these maps. Just give us the ranking system and The Pit and there will not be a better game on the market. Guest MLG Legend Roy
I was an mlg 50 in H3, and used to play for a living, people here is right; put the ******* NUMBERS beside the gamertag again! Why you left what make you famous and rich?????? Idiots you ruined my life!!! Im looking forward to a titule update with the corresponding demands: 1. Competitive Ranking System. 2. MLG Playlist. 3. Penalizing people who quit/leave and be unjoinnable. 4. Symetric maps or a map pack with classics from the series (BloodGulch, Midship, Warlock ,Prisoner, Beaver Creek, The Pit, Guardian and Narrows, etc). Do this and you'll have a happy hardcore competitive community.

Guest Dylan
this sucks. im gonna play good people. my kd is around 2.5 and ill be goin like 15-13 against good people ... this is very noob friendly now. good people cant dominate. Also you can be deranked because of losing even if you do well? 343, its good enough already!!!!! You can tell a players skill by looking at KD ratio... dont ruin it for good people. It will now be a communist online halo
psychowarren102
well that's just great 343. you'll be happy to know as you have made such a mess of the ranking system i will be returning my copy of H4. i thought you were listening to the fans but obviously not extremely disappointing and due to this i have returned to halo

Guest AnthonyHALO
I played this game for 2 weeks and it hasnt been played again theres no point for me, its boring playing for no reason. I played Halo 3 for 5 years without ever getting bored i stayed on hours even 3 days straight trying to achieve a level 50. Truth is if 343 dosnt add a visible ranking system in the game, it will die in a matter of months. ): Its sad because this game has so much potential with a visible competitive system. ZEROdegreeBURN
This is doesnt help at all, if there is going to be a competitive ranking system online (big woop) its better to be in the game. and MLG. when is that going to come out. I am very tired of playing social slayer with this call of duty ranking system bring back competive ranking from halo 2 and halo 3, take out the "join in progress" feature its pointless. 1. feels like CoD and 2. half the time i join a game in progress its over in the next 2 min. Tyrfing
Am I the only one who absolutely hates the forces CSR for Team Slayer and Big Team Slayer? What happened to Halo being a competitive and social game? Yes I know some of the quirky social game modes are not CSR'd, but there should also be a game mode of traditional slayer unranked, surely? It's complete bull**** that I cant play a traditional slayer game with my non xbox accustomed friends without being launched into an unenjoyable game completely out of their skill range. Yes, unlike the CSR obsessed out there, i have those - *friends*... I endear you, PLEASE release a non-ranked slayer game, make halo more enjoyable and less stressful?
