JW_Actual
I was curious if we knew anything about the UNSC Infinity's crew. Are we talking platoons or regiments of Marines or only a few scrappy sailors? Please tell me no Army again haha
Veer Zamamai
Well I believe soldiers, as in marines alongside technicians, the captain and his crewmen. In the live-action trailer you can see the captain and a lot of his crewmen inside of the Command bridge. Also, you can see marines due to the tags that are on the soldiers. Apart from this, I don't really know who else would be on the Infinity.
skummgummigubbe
the girl with short hair is probably a marine or a spartan (live-action video)
JW_Actual
Yeah. I'm pretty sure Fal meant the "soldiers" are Marines, not Army. (Even though Marines never call themselves soldiers!)
WonderWombat
Doesn't the old guy say that they have 17,000 of their best men on Infinity. So I would say a variety of positions and the best they have to offer.
DoctorB77
Whatever they would need. There will be a lot of Spartan 4s. But I don't think the people in the live action were spartans. They were all too afraid to be spartans.
JW_Actual
Yeah they looked like Marines to me. I'm just always interested in the Halo universe and background in the military branches and stuff, so I was curious which branches were on the Infinity. I know the Navy of course, because it is a Naval ship, so I assumed Marines as well. That's most likely. But they introduced the Army in Halo: Reach so I was curious which branches would return in Halo 4. Halo games always have a very cool, semi-realistic in structure military component and a very deep narrative world. So I like to learn about it. 01-171 Abased Eidolon
The Infinity is a very large ship. It is bound to have many, if not all, of the different UNSC occupations on board. The 'soldiers' are most definitely Marines and it's branches, as that is the main infantry force of the UNSC. However, it is said that the Infinity was repurposed for a more peaceful mission, so it's possible that the Marine presence is very small. Again, however, the "peaceful mission" could just be a cover-up for it's true purpose, since we know that the Infinity is the home of the Spartan IV program. BLiX
it has over 17,000 crew members or i think that is what was aid in the video
JW_Actual
Yeah, I just meant what branches specifically. Like Navy/Marines or what type of Marines they were, etc. Just curious. The Halo Marines, as I've stated above, are some of my favorite fictional military characters, mainly because Bungie (and now 343) has always been very detailed and true to actual military ranks, names, structure, etc. They base their ranks, names, terms etc. off of the actual US Marine Corps. So as someone who has an interest in the military and military friends, these details are fun for me.
