Archangel Tyrael
Xbox firm 'will focus on smaller, more localised promotions'. Microsoft will not be making an appearance at GamesCom or Tokyo Game Show this year to show off its wares, the company has confirmed. "As you saw at E3, we have a solid line-up of games launching this holiday, along with other entertainment experiences. We've changed our approach a little, though," reads an official statement posted on Major Nelson's blog. "This year, Xbox will be focusing on smaller, more localized promotions and experiences for press, partners, retailers and customers around the world. Which means that as you might have seen on some of the news sites today, we won't be taking part in gamescom or Tokyo Games Show this year." Microsoft's E3 conference was lacking in major first-party announcements, with the exception of Halo 4 - which looked fantastic - Microsoft's big reveal was SmartGlass, a service which extends the gaming experience to mobile platforms. Unfortunately ***les such as Gears of War Judgement and Forza Horizon were relegated to a few seconds on an all encompassing sizzle reel. Microsoft could certainly have given games such as these some more exposure at the two shows, but obviously it has other plans. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/353742/microsoft-confirms-it-wont-attend-gamescom-or-tgs/
