I bought the first two map packs but the game type I like only ever seemed to take place in the Forge World or non-DLC maps. To me it seems like a complete waste of money to buy the DLC yet it seems like a necessary requirement to a game I spent £40 before the £10+ I spent on the new map packs. Most people who play Reach don't have all of the map packs, so don't worry about it. There are only a couple of different playlists that require you to get the DLC anyways. And the only time you get to play on DLC maps is when everyone in the lobby has the DLC (which is rare, because as I said earlier most people do not), so there isn't much point to getting it now that Halo 4 is only a few months away.
