Archangel Tyrael
Creators lift the lid on steampunk game's longevity. Arkane Studios has revealed that skilled players will get through Dishonored's campaign in as little as 12 hours. The steampunk stealth action game from Arkane Studios and Bethesda has everyone talking, and in a recent Q&A on the Bethesda blog, Arkane Studios has estimated that players will be able to complete the main campaign in Dishonored in 12 hours. Co-creative directors Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio said in the Q&A, "very direct players will probably get through the game in 12 or 14 hours." Of course, that is only if you are the type of gamer who doesn't enjoy exploration or completing side missions. Smith and Colantonio go on to say that "explorers who eavesdrop a lot will take twice as long [to complete Dishonored]." The blog also outlines how mana will be used in the game - a small amount of the player's health will regenerate on its own, to use Blink and Dark Vision powers, but for major spells the potion Piero's Spiritual Remedy will be needed. Smith and Colantonio have also said that there will be six major active powers "plus there are 40 bone charms in the game that grant small supernatural perks. But no one can have all of these things in one playthrough." http://www.computerandvideogames.com/354082/dishonored-can-be-completed-in-12-hours/
RedStarRocket91
Good find! 12-hour games aren't nearly as much of a problem as they're made out to be, it's entirely possible to beat something as sprawling as Fallout 3 or Mass Effect in six or seven hours provided you take a linear path. That's not because there's no content, but just because most of what's there isn't required for completion.
GruntNoober
That a good length campaign for a game.
ZΞRΘ
that's actually pretty good. I have this game under a still skeptical eye. But I do like what I have seen of the newer game-play trailers so I will most likely rent it first.
