SPARTAN 117
As I'm sure quite a few of you already know, a brand new Halo novel will be released this year. Due for release on October 25th, the story is supposed to fall into the Halo timeline during the Halo 3 phase, maybe a little after the events of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx by Eric Nylund occur. The story will not be about the Spartans but rather the activities of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, the Office of Naval Intelligence, and the creator of the SPARTAN-II program, Dr. Catherine Halsey. The novel will be known as Halo: Glasslands by acclaimed science fiction author Karen Traviss, the author of many bestselling Star Wars and Gears of War novels. Rumor has it that that Frank O'Connor has involved himself in the development of this novels plot, so the story may be relevant to the Halo timeline from the games' point of view, making this novel even more interesting. Like I mentioned before, Glasslands is due for release October 25, 2011. Die hard Halo fans will not want to miss this.
