Why Infinity Blade: Dungeons Is An Experiment For Epic Games

The original Infinity Blade was one of the first stand-out titles for the iOS platform. Made by a studio owned by Epic Games called Chair, the original game has raked in millions of dollars and has spawned a sequel of its own. Now Epic Games proper, the studio in Raleigh, North Carolina, is taking a stab at the franchise. The team is creating a touch-based action-RPG that takes place before the events of the first Infinity Blade game. We spoke with the studio's director of production Rod Fergusson about the development of the game, how it's inspired by Pokemon, and what the team at Epic hopes to learn about micro-transactions and content pushes.
