They are indeed in Halo 4, just not in multiplayer. Which is what I was referring to.

As far as I know the Beam rifle is indeed returning. It appears that there are going to be 3 types of each weapon class (Human, Covie, and Promethean). The Human and Promethean Sniper have already been confirmed, so I wouldnt be surprised if the Covie sniper comes back as well.

Needle rifle- replaced by covanent carbine (which is better)

Focus -put out of comission due to the Beam rifle being instated)

 

So the Carbine and Beam rifle are back and the Needle rifle and Focus rifle are gone? YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!

 

I did like the needle rifle though, take some one's shields down and you can garentie you only need 3 more shots to kill him if you dont get a headshot.

I agree...the needle rifle was fun, I used that more than the DMR. But the Covie Carbine was still my fave in Halo 3.

Focus rifle was good then they made it sucky. It looks amazing at first in the beta. Everybody wanted it. So everything else but focus rifle.

No for the Needle Rifle, yes for the Beam Rifle and as for the Focus Rifle I think it should return but as something else (Sentinel Beam anyone?).

I hated the focus rifle, it overheats so fast. The Beam rifle was cool, for once the covenant had something as good as the Sniper Rifle at long range. The needle rifle sucks, carbine all the way!

They should really bring back the needle rifle. It was a good gun if you were an Elite.
