Archangel Tyrael
Blizzard has made a few great changes to Diablo 3 over the past few days that increased the drop rate of high-end items and fixed some game-breaking bugs. Before this change, gamers like myself could spend hours trying to get rare items off of bosses in Diablo 3 only to be rewarded with low-level items worth nothing on the Auction House. With Blizzard's fix, rare items that could potentially be worth a lot of gold now have more than double the chance to drop. Additionally, Blizzard fixed an unintended bug that was restricting anyone who bought Diablo 3 digitally from playing past Act 1 of the game. After the break, we've posted Diablo 3's most recent change log. Items General The drop rates for high-end items (items level 61-63) have been increased for Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty and Acts I – IV of Inferno difficulty: The new approximate drop rates are as follows: Hell – Act III and Act IV iLvl 61: 9% to 13.9% iLvl 62: 1.9% to 3.45% iLvl 63: 0% (no change) Inferno – Act I iLvl 61: 17.7% to 23.9% iLvl 62: 7.9% to 12.6% iLvl 63: 2.0% to 4.8% Inferno – Act II iLvl 61: 18.6% to 23.3% iLvl 62: 12.4% to 18.6% iLvl 63: 4.1% to 9.3% Inferno – Act III and Act IV iLvl 61: 24.1% to 27.1% iLvl 62: 16.1% to 21.7% iLvl 63: 8.0% to 16.3% Bug Fixes Fixed a bug with several items that would allow those items to block pathing when dropped on the ground Bosses General Bosses are now guaranteed to drop at least 1 Rare item for players with 4 stacks of Nephalem Valor and at least 2 Rare items for players with 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor Bug Fixes General Fixed a crash that could sometimes occur when a player was interacting with environment objects (e.g. opening chests or clicking on a lectern) Fixed several additional game and service crashes http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/725463/diablo-3-game-changes-increased-drop-rates-and-bug-fixes/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diablo 3 new buyer restrictions partially lifted. Act one and level cap restrictions removed. Blizzard has removed two of the most crucial restrictions placed on people who purchase the game digitally. According to an update on the controversial restrictions, with the release of patch patch 1.0.3a, players who buy the game via download will no longer be hit with a Level 13 cap, and will be able to play past Act One. Those were two of the most maddening restrictions that were placed on new purchases of a digital version of the game for up to 72 hours as part of an effort to tackle credit card fraud. According to Blizzard's update, they were "unintended". Other restrictions, such as real-money Auction House access, public game access, Global Play and more (listed below) are still in place, but players will now be able to level up to their heart's content and blast through as many acts as they like from the moment they fire up their game. Here are the restrictions that remain in place for up to 72 hours: No public game access for unverified digital purchasers No auction house access (real-money or gold) for unverified digital purchasers Unverified digital purchasers cannot trade items or drop items for other players to receive Unverified digital purchasers are not able to chat in any public or game channels Unverified digital purchasers cannot attach a custom message to friend requests, but they can send/accept friend requests, and play with their friends Global Play is not available for unverified digital purchasers The full statement is through the source link.
