Donut
The Halo CEA multiplayer is for Reach, so obviously there are armor abilities. yeah but 343 could of stuck with Halo 3 or 2's engine.
xUnH0Ly xKiLLeR
yeah but 343 could of stuck with Halo 3 or 2's engine. Halo CEA comes with a mappack for Reach, that's the multiplayer. There is no point for them to make new mappacks for H2 or H3. It's kind of like how ODST came with that halo 3 multiplayer disk, but this is with new maps. DocSpartanO07
If you do not post up poof, I call BS. Its common knowledge that the Classic maps in CEA are just maps for Reach. This is not news. I have read nothing to lead me to believe they will have AA's on the classic maps. CEA is a one disk game with MP maps that play on the Reach MP system. It's not completely like ODST was, you will not get a complete set of maps for Reach on CEA. Also, you do not have to own Reach to even play the classic maps. Its like a MP option that uses the Reach MP system for MM.
Active
No they can't stuck with H2/3 engine, just check out their panel at the comic con. You'll understand it.
Donut
I do have proof, I saw images of this game on xbox.com & on the left, I saw a red spartan using armor lock! And I know they couldnt stick with H2 or H3 engine but I mean really, they could of at least took out aa's in Halo CEA, just leave the aa's in REACH, this game would've been better if they just took out aa's, im fine with Reach's engine though, :/

Donut
wuts with ppl hatin aa's its not ment for halo, i mean through all the Halos, bungie chooses their last game to put armor abilities, I like sprint & evade, hologram dosnt even trick people, active camo jams raddar, drop shield is useless, jet pack is good for high spots but noob if your sniping, oh yeah, armor lock, ok, armor lock is the worst, its just for people that dont want to get killed or people that dont want get splattered, armor abilites do not fit in with the rest of the Halos, thats why i'm waiting for 343 to put that playlist where its no AA's. People need to stop complaining even Frank O' Connor hates armor lock! He said they are changing and altering somethings that you can use in the title update! You know....even if I leave my door unlocked....if you come in my house and take stuff, you are still a thief. How long in a game of Halo does it take for you to realize people are using AL? Do you just run them over anyway?

Dubness2
I kind of agree, Halo, Halo 1, Halo 2 they were great without armor abilities, even in Halo 3 the equipment was dumb, thank god for MlG in Halo 3. But as you can tell the Halo population dropped in Reach, when it was super high in 2 and 3.

How long in a game of Halo does it take for you to realize people are using AL? Do you just run them over anyway? Usually I don't say, "Hey, that guy has AL, i'm going to make sure not to run him over because if I do i'll die," Usually when I see an enemy randomly walking in the battlefield I run them over in the heat of the moment because by the time I see their name, it's to late. Also, I honestly hate aa, I know everyone gets them so it's "fair" but honestly I feel as though equipment was much more balanced. I was never able to play Halo CE online so I'm not necessarily sure how it played in multiplayer but i'm sure it was more fun than reach. Well, at some point you should be able to tell if people are using it during a game, thats all. Oh, CE was not xboxlive enabled. All you could do was systemlink, it wasnt the same as having MM thru xboxlive.

Father B
So much seriousness up in this thread. Not to stir up trouble, but when people gripe about AA's in Reach, I feel compelled to say it: AA's aren't the issue. The issue is that players are using them against you, and using them effectively. It's a result no different from things like spawnkilling, camping, or hogging the power weapons. It's all legitimate, and in the end it's not the deciding factor in a win or loss. You know what is? Your reaction. Don't splatter if you're afraid of the target AL'ing on you. When you see a million red dots flood your radar, avoid the area. Jetpackers can be brought down easy enough and they're fun to assassinate. And holograms are just good fun. Of all the times I've been frustrated in Reach, you know what chapped me the worst? The Nadestorm. Bloody siege tactic whereby a flood of grenades are hurled into your position. Even with AL it's not an easy thing to survive, grenade after grenade. But it's a sound strategy, so I dealt with it and got over it. So unless you want to stamp out all of the "cheap tactics" not related to AA's as well, it's just not going to happen, guys. We just have to deal with it and try to have fun.
Spectral Jester
only time i pick armor lock is for invasion breakpoint, as most people turn into ghost whores, and boy does AL come in handy then I just wish invasion breakpoint showed up more often
