sheilafbc
First im sorry if there's already a topic on this.. i didn't have the time to search. But i made and xbox account for my kid when i gave him my old 360 cause i we bought the halo reach edition. The 360 was set up in his room and not connected to the internet cause we didn't have the wireless adapter and cause well he was too young to have internet in his room.. for the past two years (almost) he has played the **** out of halo reach.. on easy mainly just over and over and over trying to get points to get his reach avatar decked out in armor (its all he cares about honestly) he got to the rank of brigadier rank 2 (now rank 3). This year for his birthday this year we connected his 360 to the net and upgraded his xbox account to a xbox live account.. and every time he goes to play online his reach avatar is showing as the default avatar.. and its driving him crazy and in turn me crazy cause he wont stfu about it at all lol.. a message does pop up saying he exceeded the amount of credits he was allowed too offline and can get his avatar if he accepts to loose credits..or something like that... I dont know what the ****e that is suppose to mean but if i would have known this i would have connected his account online at least everyone once in a while to update. is there anyway to get past this??? cause his little heart is broken and he doesnt want to loose his credits or his rank and armor cause he seriously worked for it and he hates playing online and looking like the default. Ive tried to call bungie but they sent me to xbox who was just like idkwtf to do... So any advice on what to do or who the hell i can call to fix this would be awesome.. this kid loves halo more than anything we got posters all over the walls about 300dollars worth of those mcfarlene collectibles and i swear to god every halo mega blocks made so far and this is to the point where he is about to loose all faith in halo and rip everything down cause hes so upset that his game is doing this to him.. thanks so much! Absolute Dog
To offer you a quick answer, there is definitely a credit cap for offline play. As I understand it he/you will have to make the decision about which choice to make in regards his avatar. There is not a notice that tells you this beforehand and since it would have to have been embedded in the disk or the game cover case insert, no way for them to notify players unless they heard it in a forum such as this. Please wait to hear from some additional members as I know there are other that will have more insight into this. It may be one of those times that you will have to let him know that some things can not be fixed. My apologies on behalf of the community. Spectral Jester
Unfortunately it is easier to earn credits with an offline account When the account switches to online it will revert to sergeant its one of those things
