Popular Post Absolute Dog
I would like the community to be aware I have asked the moderators to more actively enforce the conduct rules in the shout box. This will affect only a small number of members that habitually pushed the limits or test the moderators patience. The basic rules already exist for the shout box in the "Rules" section and Spectral Jester's post here should seen by anyone reading the forum. I have seen and heard of incidents of members new and old, including community staff, causing problems in the most visible part of our forum and it has to be understood how much this hurts the site and encourages the behavior in others. We are all grateful to the members who talk to those who are acting up and want those of you to know we like when the community helps to keep things positive when our attention is elsewhere. We only ask that if a moderator is present in the shout box to please allow them to handle whatever the issue is. We are capable and may have a different approach than you feel is needed, but it is our responsibility in the end. Allows us to do what we need to do without encouragement please. In the end, if you are one who continues to interfere, especially after being warned, you may find yourself banned for a short period. I will stand behind all shout box bans regardless of who the member is, so know this in advance.

MCPO Mayh3m
Very well said. I would like to add: It is up to the members to report the member and describe what they did. I think that would also help some more as well.
skummgummigubbe
i have total respect for the mods and other members
SatanicBagels
I agree fully with this statement. Just the fact that a mod tells you to stop something should be enough reason to stop. People that continue and argue with the mods decision deserve any punishment thrown their way.
Mr Biggles
I agree with this, people need to get off their high horse when they join and think their big people around the computer. Trust me, they'll get caught out.
King of Winter
According to my lurking, for the past week there has been a lot of arguments in the shout box. I'm glad that there will be more supervision on it, hopefully things will calm down.
Elite
I can't thank the moderation team enough for their actions. They do their jobs flawlessly: they're the reason why we're enjoying all of this. We've got a beautiful community here; these moderators keep it beautiful.

Quantum
I say no matter who has caused problems, been apart of problems, or wanted to be in problems, it's all in the past. We know there has been respect issues, and it stops today. We continue on without disrupting each other, but still have a good time. I hope everyone abides by the rules.

VivaLebowski
I'm not one for authoritarianism when it comes to most things, but I hope this means the mods will be banning fools left and right. We need it. Yall go way too soft on people. It encourages the trolls.
Fire
Thank you for posting this AD, we mods have gone soft over the last couple months. We need to show our strength once more, more trolls are going to be coming as November approaches, it'll get even harder after November. I don't mean we start being insanely strict, but we need to crack down a bit.

SternuS
This wasn't even necessary to be said. Every new member MUST know the rules. And if he needs to be punished, he can be old or new, trusted or dedicated, but he MUST be punished (banned or whatever, you know the protocol better than anyone). And i'm sure no one here will deny this. At least, not me . Ah, one question: at who should i report? Community mod., Absolute Dog or directly at Twam? (Obviously i can see who's online, but if there is no mod active...)
ZΞRΘ
Very well said, let it be known that I shall partake in the upholding of these rules, for better and for worse....in sickness and in low health till re-spawning and depart.
BLOOD 0F GANON
I think as they sign in when making a new account the rules should have a check box to ensure they have read the rules. May take longer to sign in but it helps with the moderators to know they read the rules. just an idea....

(Obviously i can see who's online, but if there is no mod active...) When reporting a member, post or topic. You give in the details for why you are reporting them. For example. I am reporting this member, because they are a spambot and have spammed links in the status updates. Please deal with. Thats the basic to reporting, all mods get a notification when a report it sent, and deal with it via moderator abilities I think as they sign in when making a new account the rules should have a check box to ensure they have read the rules.
