A listing on Electronic Arts' Origin online store (which has since been removed, but not before being captured by VG247) indicates those who preorder Danger Close's forthcoming Medal of Honor Warfighter will receive access to a Battlefield 4 beta. EA held a similar promotion with the predecessors in both franchises, offering those who preordered the original 2010 Medal of Honor reboot access to the Battlefield 3 beta. As of press time, EA had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment. The existence of Battlefield 4 comes as little surprise. Battlefield 3 arrived in October 2011 to a warm critical reception and shipments of 15 million units. Additionally, EA Labels president Frank Gibeau said in November "there is going to be a Battlefield 4." Battlefield 4 may not be the only new franchise entry in the works.
