DoctorB77
What is with this flashbang perk or whatever. I saw it in gameplay and was wondering if anyone knew a lot about it.
Tallgeese
Well according to a list of all known AA's, Tactical Packages, Support Upgrades and Power Ups, there is no 'Flash Bang' perk. Now you may be thinking about the EMP grenade that was shown in some recent videos. But that stuns vehiles and removes shileds similar to that in Halo 3 and has a small radius. Here is a list of all known so far: http://www.littleenglishhaloblog.com/2012/06/halo-4-armour-abilities-tactical.html Just to add, it may not be the EMP genade that you saw, the 'Flare' from Halo 3 may also be making a return, but I dont know if this has been confirmed or denied yet.
DoctorB77
It had something to do with the thruster pack.
RedStarRocket91
It had something to do with the thruster pack. If you can show us where you originally saw it, we may be able to track down information a little better.
Tallgeese
Ahh yes...so when you are in close proximity to someone who uses Thruster Pack it does indeed emit a sort of flash. it supposed to be more of a dissorientation to the enemy so you can thrust away in a direction. They have not stated if it effects allies, how long it lasts, and how far it goes. However from the videos, it does not appear to last vary long. When you hit thrust, a flash goes out and you thrust in a direction. It was from one of the MLG videos at ComicCon. I saw it on Halo4Nation. I will try and find it again...but I know what he is talking about now

Mr Biggles
I saw that as well, kind of disappointed with it, however, ive been disappointed with a lot in halo 4.
SykoWolf
I reckon halo 4 is shaping up to be the best Halo yet Sure there are a few things that could get tweaked but we must remember this is the first project that 343 is working on (yes i know they have some Bungie employee's) so we will probably get our wish when Halo 5 comes out. As for the Thruster pack, does anyone know if it is similar to the brutes jump pack?
Tallgeese
Well if it does not flow well with the game I am sure 343i can take out the flashbang aspect of thruster pack at a later date through a TU.
SykoWolf
I think it is a good idea to create a flashbang effect when using the jump pack near someone so the jump pack user has some extra safety when using it.
Tallgeese
I dont believe the flashbang emits when people use the JetPack. Just when they use the thruster pack becasue the thruster pack is more like a roman candle straped to your back lol
SykoWolf
True true, thats why i never use the jetpack, your basically a flying target O.o
Ryu♥Hayabusa
True true, thats why i never use the jetpack, your basically a flying target O.o Not if you can use it correctly. Just because you haven't used it enough to understand every aspect doesn't mean it makes you a target. Trust me, holding the button down is a bad idea. I have used jetpack since the beta. I hardly die with it.

Yes i know YOU can use it, but like i said, the jetpack was there for movement purposes, not combat purposes. It just sort of caught on afterwards. Whereas the thruster pack in Halo 4 will be more useable to players early on without having to try too hard

But the jetpack is back in Halo 4, but less powerful. More newb friendly. AFAIK, you can't fly with it in Halo 4 like you can in Reach. The Thruster Pack is just Evade revamped to be more practical. DoctorB77
So do you have to hit the Target while flying to stun them? Or is it just if they are close enough to you.
Ryu♥Hayabusa
I imagine it affects nearby enemies.
SykoWolf
Probably similar to the Flare on Halo 3...........
