PSICOM SPARTAN
If you watch the Spec Ops trailer it shows that Turret wielding still puts you in 3rd person cam.

Rex Reiden X
Technically it never came out for PC and this vid doesn't show the oposite. But it's possible that some hacker changed the firmware and convert it to PC, like those guys that convert PS2 games to PC. And that video it totally NOT from any PC. Wes Stone501
Third person would be awsome!!!!
The Director
The problem with this is that it's an FPS. First-Person Shooter. The only reason for a third person mode would be to see what's to your sides and behind you, slowing down gameplay and making tactics more difficult. I don't see the harm in it for custom games though. But it would have to be gametype enabled rather than an actual control you can use, or else it would ruin certain custom games.
PH0T0Nman
*Sigh* Can I request the opposite? They made all these lovely gauges, etc for the warthog in halo reach suggesting that they where thinking about bringing in first person driving but it never happened
AssaultSniper1989
The problem with this is that it's an FPS. First-Person Shooter. The only reason for a third person mode would be to see what's to your sides and behind you. Which is why they only do it for Turrets and vehicles you are a bigger target and many people come at you so you need to be able to check your surroundings. I can't even imagine halo with a third person shooter mode your character would obscure the reticle on your HUD
Baby Boo
No third person. It may make it easier to play, but you can also unknowingly use it to your tactical advantage. For example, see someone coming for an assassination.
