Something Halo 4 should have

Halo 4 should integrate custom game matchmaking. For example, you would go into custom games and set up game mode and map for your lobby. Then, you would enable matchmaking, or something around those lines. People could then go to the matchmaking screen and go to the playlist "custom games" and search for a lobby in Halo 4 with matchmaking enabled. They would then be in your lobby (or someone elses depending on if you are the only one with a lobby or not ), and you wouldn't have to worry about getting 15 others on your friends list or recent players to start up that game of Fat Kid or whatever you want to play.

Sounds like a good idea! If you don't have anyone online you can go to custom games and search like you said for somebody who's looking for more players.

I think a mode that simply revolves around custom games should be implemented into the game. Not just infection, but also the other most popular customs like Fat Kid and Predator.

well, I feel that this would both help with that and lead to a longer life of the halo 4 custom games.

like, halo reach had some really good custom games, but no one ever played them.

yes, but you would have complete control over game modes and maps; eg, no voting, but you could give control to another player.

Because unless they've been checked the creator of the map could've made some secret area where the have all the weapons or vehicles which would unblance the whole game. I would say people submit their maps to 343i, so they can give the ok on them then release a ton of custom maps on a playlist.

there could be a playlist where you earn points on maps approved by 343, and also a matchomaking service where you earn little credits but can get into any lobby, similar to how reach gave you little credits for custom games

ya i thought about this. the creator of the mode and map could give themselves a huge advantage without anyone else knowing. It would be like boosting for them

Custom games are so vast....how would they be able to make it search for everything?

You would basically break everything down into categories. Racing, Forging, Slayer, Objective, Infection, Puzzle.... umm what am I missing :| . Anyways you get the idea, you would pick which category you'd like to get into.

the only problem with this is that after halo 5 comes out or begins to come out and 343i will be preoccupied with the game. During this time it will be hard for them to test and approve custom games for matchmaking.

I'm sure they would simply take XP out of custom matchmaking if they implemented it. I know on Halo 2 Vista, you can create dedicated servers, but Halo 4 will not have this. So, it is confirmed not to be in, but we can hope for it in Halo 5.

Never really played custom games in Reach, but loved em in Halo 3, so I think this could work
