twistedforsaken
bloom - normally i dont mind bloom and at first i thought it was a great addition to the game to help futher the skill level for the game, but now i find myself hating it with a sickness beacuse the god damned players who rapid fire and seem to hit every shot now ive tried everything moving back and forth, jumping, ducking but no they always seem to find that head shot while i carefully place my shots, at most i get their shield down and boom im dead, now this isnt at close range ether its quite far and somehow they manage it. now with halo 4 around the corner and seeing that bloom is indeed back im hoping that maybe there will be bigger penaltys for those rapid fire players. grenades - now i dont mind the power on these things but the radius i find is the most hateful part i just can never seem to get out of their way, since the average halo player spams grenades its even harder trying to dodge them. again i hope theyre radius is at least nerfed a little bit. Maximum Clutch
Personally, i like bloom. It has been in every single Halo game. And I'm not sure what your problem is with grenades, they're not over powered, and they don't have that big of a radius, I almost always have time to back away from a grenade before it goes off. twistedforsaken
i dont understand it ethier it just seems no matter how much i back away i still get hit by them.
The Director
The thing is, the grenades are WAY more nerfed than they were in H3, which is why they have to be spammed to be effective. I too hate the grenades in Reach, but obviously for a different reason. I hate them because all they seem to do is break shields. More than once I have watched someone walk over my frag grenade thinking "Yay, I'm going to get a kill!". Nope. Turns out if you have full shields, then a grenade will simply break your shields and do a bit of health damage. So, you need two or more. Hence, spamming. If you look at BF3 and other games where grenades will kill you if you are too close, they don't seem to be used to often. Sure, there are cases of spamming (but that's because in BF3 there is an assignment to get a certain number of kills with grenades), but overall grenades are only thrown when the enemy isn't in your sight range. Only newbs throw nades when they can shoot instead. As far as bloom, there seems to be a varying opinion on it. I personally think that bloom is less skillful because it increases the chance of lucky shots rather than forcing you to aim every shot you fire. Mr Biggles
I like bloom, its a great feature, at times implemented a bit wrong, but it was a great feature for reach, and as said, bloom has been in every halo, not just this one. Grenades - i agree, the radius needs to be cut down, they are like mini rockets, maybe like the h2 or h3 ones.
skummgummigubbe
i had no problems with bloom before the the announcement of reducing it (then i saw it was there)
SykoWolf
The Director makes a good point, if you stand on a grenade you need to die! It makes no sense that you can survive not only the force, but also the fragmentation.
Tesseract
A grenade will kill you if you're directly over it, but thats rare. I hate the grenades too. They always seem to bounce way further than I intended and plasmas seem to go through people. But bloom I can deal with.

Whenever i have a grenade land at my feet when i have full shields and health, i always die. When i do it to others, they just loose shields. The grenades in reach are very inconsistent aand that why i dont like them. But i have no problem with bloom, i just hate visible bloom
