Ryu♥Hayabusa
By now, most of you have seen how the Jet-Pack is returning and the Splaser/Sniper shots. Well, I have noticed a couple of things that some of you may not have. First, the Jet-Pack: Well, the old SO video shows a Spartan using a Jet-Pack. This Jet-Pack looks like it works just like it's Reach counter-part, i.e. you can supposedly use it in bursts like in Reach. This is due to the fact that if it was only a simple jump boost, the Spartan in the video wouldn't have the "fire" coming out for the whole time he is shown. I would be sad if it was like Samus' thruster upgrade in Metroid Prime 3. (Just a double jump.) It is very likely that the amount of time you can use it is cut down a bit. It may even recharge slower, but who knows? All of this is inferred from those videos. None of this is known to be fact, but it is the best explanation as to how it worked the way we saw it in that video. The Splaser: We all saw the laser, and how different it sounded. I loved the new sound and look. You might not have noticed the amount of charge it had. It had 75% charge before the shot, and 50% after. This means the new 4 shot limit is back. It is likely for balancing reasons, but this also throws out the debate of "better tech" being the reason for 5 shots in Halo 3. What do you guys think of all this? Quantum
I prefer the Spartan Laser with only four shots. Any more, and it's just a too over powered weapon. See, it's supposed to be a power weapon. Therefore it matches with other power weapons, such as the Rocket Launcher. The Launcher only carries 4 rockets upon spawning, that if used correctly, will kill in one shot, exactly as the Laser does. Because of the matching qualities, I think that it SHOULD be 4 shots only. Ryu♥Hayabusa
Possibly dragging it across the vehicle does more damage than in Reach, though? I hated how I could drag it across and still not get the kill. And in BTB if they had both Wraiths/scorpions, all laser charge went into those. One laser shot should kill the driver, damage the vehicle.

I used 3 laser shots and killed myself 3 scorpions the other night, all because I aimed it at the canopy or treads. A direct shot, rather than dragging it, is better in Reach, as long as you're hitting the weak points of the vehicle.
upton889
I have no preference on whether the spartan laser is a 4 or 5 shot weapon. It sounds and looks great.

The easiest one to hit is the drivers seat if the vehicle is facing you. It may not destroy he vehicle, but it will don significant damage as well as kill the driver. But the main weak point on scorpions and wraiths is the rear vents. It you can hit one of those with one laser shot, the vehicle is done for good
Quantum
I have seen the video. it iis like the good old spartan laser but it doesnt sound powerful like most weapons in halo 4 No, it does sound powerful, but yes not as powerful as it should. This may be due to the fact they are introducing the Railgun, which was said to sound devastating, menacing, terrifying even. They may have toned down the Splaser so as to make the Railgun look better.
Tallgeese
I really hope it is like the Halo 3 SL. The reach SL was weak and more of a beam, where as the Halo 3 SL was like a laser blast.

I can't afford to try and aim well. Besides, I'd rather hit it in the turret. It can still drive, but it's more of a slow hog. And I lol when they go WTH.
