Halo 3: Recon Helmet ?

Im talking to my friend Arron and he is wondering if 343 are doing anything along the lines of the Halo 3 Recon Helmet which could only be acquired by creating a great forge map or completing the Vidmaster Challenges. If anyone has any information could you please let me know and I understand if nothing has been said yet it is a bit early.

 

 

Edited: People are getting a little confused here, Im just wondering if theres going to be a special armor like recon not if recon is a special armor.

isn't the recon armour given to every halo 3 player by 343 industries some times in between february to aprill when they took over all rights about halo from bungie ?

 

have you played halo 3 for a while

Do you mean in Halo 4? If so, No. They have not said anything about unlocking recon in Halo 4. In Halo 3, Just like ^ he said, it is already available to all players.

Yeah I mean Halo 4 and thanks for offering help but I dont want it as I mainly play reach.

ok then i understand Recon has been announced to exist in Halo 4 but not how you get it

 

i assume it will be halo 3 style because the recon means so much to a lot of peoples

I imagine they might have a special armor for that. Recon has been pillaged with Reach. I doubt Recon is special in Halo 4. Maybe something else.

on e3's mlg tournament there were snapshots of many helmets, and recon is back, scout is back, eod is back in a redesigned look, same for eva ,and i think one more has returned, etc. i remember i only got recon because i accidently got the vidmaster challenge "7 on the 7th" and ever since i got it i never use anything else. recon all the way!

Since it wasnt special in reach i do not see it returning as a god helmet as it was in halo 3. Not saying that there wont be a great helmet out there for those extreme halo players.

i hope in halo 4 you don't have to work hard for recon because i got recon by accident with 7 on the 7th i didn't even know it was the 7th of the month lol

If you look at this article, http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/15/halo-4-specializations-will-change-halo-multiplayer-forever , the last section hints that the Mk. V armor will be avalible but through challenges, like Recon

Yes, 343i did state that they have some very cool types of armors and helmets somewhat like recon in halo 3, they say that they have a couple surprises up there sleeves...
