How does it work? Like to get put into a better division because personally i think a 1600+ rating is considered good, but i only got into the top 15% of silver.

So i want to know how to get into a better division.

And what a good rating is considered to get into at least gold.

Game Rating - Used to determine who did better or worse than you in a single game

TrueSkill - Used to adjust your skill after a single game by factoring in who did better or worse than you and whether or not that outcome was expected

Division - A way to group players together based on their TrueSkill relative to everyone else's TrueSkill in the playlist

Daily Rating - Means absolutely nothing, other than ensuring you've played enough games to be put into a Division

Average Rating - Means absolutely nothing. There is a huge difference between averaging 1500 in Steel and averaging 1500 in Onyx

If you want to get a good rank in Arena, your goal is to get the highest Game Rating compared to everyone else in every game you play. To get a high Game Rating, you want to maximize your kills and assists, while minimizing your deaths and betrayals.

Short Version- Do better than the other players in the game every game.

To get into a better division you have to be better.

Um... I'm hoping I read the dates on these posts correctly but for the last two seasons ( 7 and 8 ) Arena division placement has been SOLELY BASED ON YOUR WIN/LOSS RATIO, in other words you have to WIN and kills/rating does not mean ANYTHING anymore. Get with the times people... I almost want to go back to bungie.net after reading this...

In other words, you are probably in silver because you may get high ratings but since those do not matter at all anymore you probably have a low win/loss ratio.

I'm guessing like 55%?

It also depends on how many games you have played, the more the better, for gold I'd say get like at least 60% w/l with 50+ games perhaps
