What if Master Chief was never found after Halo 3

What do you think would happen if Master Chief was never found after Halo 3. Let's just assume he never escaped the Ark and died. What would happen to the UNSC without him. Would Humanity be doomed? Discuss and Answer in the comments below!

The Storm and Infinity never would have ventured near Requim, so the ancient evil would just chill in there for however long. Other than that the UNSC would just keep rebuilding, while Storm tries to overthrow the Covenant or whatever they are doing.

This thread actually seems really thoughtful. What would happen? I think requiem could've been found eventually, but humanity would have another force to fight the ancient evil

I think that we could win without the chief. Just add a hundred guys to take his spot.

Considering that they survived years without him and even started a new spartan program, i don't think that humanity would be doomed. Of course everyone knows that the new spartans aren't as good as Chief's generation, for example, but definitely good enough enough to not be doomed

I don't think it would just be stumbled upon. But maybe humanity gets some technology at some point that can find inorganic things in the galaxy...But by that time the ancient evil might just be a pushover.

Yeah, I was thinking they'd find it centuries later
