Function of Promethean Weapons?

Hey everybody, so If you are reading this post the title may confuse you a little so let me clarify. It dawned on me that if Human weapons are more effective against flesh and covenant weapons are more effective against shielding, what do promethean weapons do? Is it leaning more towards flesh? More towards shielding? Or is it equally effective on both. That could easily make their weapons class the most versatile in the game. This is all speculation at this point of course, but I find it to be an interesting question. Leave your opinions here.

I would say more effective against flesh. After all, most Forerunner weapons WERE meant for taking out the flood....

it appears that Human weapons are more blunt (taking down health), while covie weapons are more effective agianst shields, and Prom. weapons are inbetween doing an even balance to both shields and health

Good point, the forerunners did fight the flood so that would make sense.

Yep, thats what I would guess but Its still a mystery.

Forerunner weapons would be designed to take out flesh, seeing as it is basically projected light (i.e Burning).

However, these Prometheans could be of an older design, and have a more balanced power.
