Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Found this on Examiner. Turns out a Game Informer employee leaked some information from their October issue (which obviously isn't out yet). Some of it's old, some of it's new. Enjoy! _____________________________________________________________________________________ The Knights are one of three subdivisions within the Prometheans. Crawlers are basically cannon fodder to distract from the Knights. Watchers are support units. They can shield knights, spawn watchers, resurrect knights. Prometheans work together strategically. Frankie's example of a Knight sniping him, he takes cover behind a column, Crawlers attack him by crawling down from the column. Promethean weapons/equipment designed to fight Flood. There are different variants of Knights, watchers, and crawlers. Knight - Deadly warriors, use weapons like Light Rifle and Supressor. Knight Lancer - Scouts and Marksmen, use Promethean Vision to locate hidden enemies Knight Commander - Have skills of Knights, but can wield Incineration Cannons, stronger armor, Autosentry turrets Knight Battlewagon - Rare but incredibly dangerous, huge frames draped in heavy armor and hardlight shielding, can deploy Autosentries, will wield Scattershot if you get too close. (Orange patterns through body and on face, orange spikes on back. Super badass!) Watcher - Wield boltshots, summon crawlers, protect and resurrect Knights. Crawler - Agile and move in packs, fire Boltshot from distance Crawler Snipe - upgraded crawlers, no further details. I assume they keep larger ranges. Alpha Crawler - Lead packs of Crawlers, has a Supressor This is just details about the Prometheans, might be considered spoilers to some people. Warning, the information below may reveal spoilers to the story in Halo 4. Prometheans work for the Forerunner civilization, "or whatever is left of it." Why do they now appear as robotic entities? Were they always this way? Prometheans are directed by a "general of sorts". First you encounter the Covenant. Then the Prometheans. But it is when they combine forces, and how they combine, that will offer biggest surprises. Also, the variants of the Prometheans weren't the blue ones, perhaps those are a different faction? Tallgeese
The Prometheans will probably use the covie with a false sense of providing theme with god like stuff to fight the humans. But other than that, I dont know why the Proms would work with the covie and vice versa.

But other than that, I dont know why the Proms would work with the covie and vice versa. Well, since the Prometheans are under order of The Didact (most likely), he might see Chief as a threat and direct the Prometheans to team up with a "lesser evil" to stop him. That's just my guess. Victory Element
wow, this is great information. I can assume this "general" is the didact......but the covies and prometheans combining forces........this is deep.....

Boss Bowser
The Promethean could be "Blacked mail" by the covenant to work with them to destroy Human Kind, but later find the Truth and want to destroy the covenant as well
Killer K34
The Promethean could be "Blacked mail" by the covenant to work with them to destroy Human Kind, but later find the Truth and want to destroy the covenant as well Its more likely the servants of abiding truth see the forerunners still as gods and are the forces responsible for being on requiem. if this is true, then they would want to side with the prometheans since its their physical deity right in front of them. Then possibly later the prometheans would either get sick of it or something and turn against them
Chemiclus
Just to confirm, are the Prometheans a branch of "Warrior-Servants"?

Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Just to confirm, are the Prometheans a branch of "Warrior-Servants"? Prometheans were created by the Forerunners to protect their planet from Flood, as they cannot be infected.
P-1609
Prometheans were created by the Forerunners to protect their planet from Flood, as they cannot be infected. No. Prometheans are Forerunner peeps. These kind of Prometheans seem to be some Organic-machine-stuff. Maybe some sort of cyborg?
Chemiclus
No. Prometheans are Forerunner peeps. These kind of Prometheans seem to be some Organic-machine-stuff. Maybe some sort of cyborg? Well the Forerunner Warrior Servants such as the Didact were organic with a sort of mechanical-organic armor...so it would make sense if they were the same. I just wasn't sure of the difference between the Warrior-Servants and Prometheans
