Jun and the Arbiter in Spartan Ops?

As you may all know, Jun is the only spartan III from Noble team who's not KIA, or MIA as spartans ''don't die'', as far as we know. Back from a Spartan Ops trailer I remember the name of a level was ''Sniper Valley'' (Or something like that), and since now Spartan Ops has its own storyline I thought maybe he could fit in the story... either way I don't see it much likely. The story has been carefully crafted with new characters since this is a new trilogy, I would like if they kept it as fresh as possible. Seeing a couple of old characters wouldn't be bad, though.

About the Arbiter, I remember someone mentioned he would be in Spartan Ops instead of campaign, do you guys know anything about that?

So what are your thoughts on this? Do you like the idea of returning characters in SO? Do you think the series should move on and leave them behind?

I'm pretty sure Jun is dead. As Halsey was being escorted to CASTLE Base her Spartan II guard was killed. (This was written before Reach came out) But Jun looked like a Spartan II, so it makes sense.

Jun-A266 from Noble team is a Spartan III. There was no official recorded death of Jun, so we must believe he is still alive.

That doesn't make sense. Because he is MIA he must be alive? We aren't the populace of the UNSC, so we don't have to fall for their propaganda about Spartans.

so speaking of jun why did bungie totally ignore all the halo novels and fiction and just made reach the way they wanted to?

Because they wanted to get as much money as possible from Halo before they lost it.

Because Bungie lost their souls long ago and didnt care about their fans and community anymore. Kinda like Bioware when they formed with EA...EA kills everyone and everything they touch.

Back on subject, I dont remember Jun being talked about in Ghosts of Onyx or Glasslands, and Halsey was in both of those...so who knows

No we mustn't.

Fact of the matter is, Jun was ordered to escort Dr. Halsey. Dr. Halsey then ended up in the care of Fred and Kurt, without Jun. So, unless he disobeyed his commander's last orders, he's dead.

What I'm trying to say is, there was no recorded death of Jun, so you can't just go around saying Jun's dead.

There is a free online comic made by bungie called "Fistful of Arrows" which depicts what happens to June and Dr. Halsey after Reach. Although this story is not canon because bungie made it after 343 was made the new Halo designer, its trying to be made canon. Even though not canon, it was made by bungie and is very high quality. I dont want to gice any spoilers so go check it out on http://leviathan.bungie.org/

@N@han FloreZ: It may not be canon, but that is a pretty sweet comic. Still leaves the question of if Jun is alive or not, but with the fate of Castle base known to us all, it is less likely that he is alive than what we knew after Reach. Jun and Jorge were my faves so it would be awesome if he in fact is still alive.

I believe someone from Bungie said that he survives.

I doubt that Jun is and if he is how could he be without either breaking orders, which he wouldnt have done, or completely destroying the cannon of at least one book. Halo first strike details how John goes back to reach and find Halsey but not a single mention of another spartan.

Yeah but after that comic...it seems less likely that he is alive. Even if he survived the destruction of Castle Base, it would have been tough for him to survive on Reach after everything fell and the Covie pretty much glassed the whole planet

Reach was placed before halo 1. But made afterward
