Competitive Level of Button Layouts

OK so i know that everybody has a favorite from the old halos but with the integration and focus of the new armor abilities/sprint as its own button I feel like the controls are going to need a complete revamp

base on the controller setting we are given I would like to know only based on how useful it would be which button layout to you think is the best

 

Im torn between bumper jumper and fishsticks

 

I like bumper jumper because of having jump AND melee on the bumpers gives you a huge advantage up close but putting armor abilities on buttons makes it much harder to use them while aiming such as thrusting around somebody and being already aimed on them as you come back into first person gives you a huge advantage this also applies to jetpacks and hardlight shields also with sprint on a i feel like starting and stopping sprint around corners is going to be a huge burden

 

all of the above problems are fixed with fishsticks but melee comes down to the joystick which could be nice unless you slip while aiming which isnt something that id worry about in cod but could happen in an intense halo moment, then there is jump being on a which makes jumping and aiming impossible

 

overall i dont think its possible to say one button layout is the best because like the trend with halo 4 everything is going to come down to how you play. I feel bumper jumper is going to be superior up close but fish sticks is going to be better for a strategical player who likes to avoid the close encounters

 

anywhoo let me know what you think and which control layout has the most advantageous button placement for you

Recon, because I play claw already.

I will most likely be using bumper jumper or recon. The only thing on recon that I wish was different is the sprint being on the right bumper and reload being on X but besides that I like it.

I'm torn between recon and fishsticks

Recon because I've played halo with it since forever but sprint on x is making me think

Fishsticks because I like the feel of zooming with the right trigger but slipping while aiming could be annoying

The jury is still out for me ill be deciding on nov 6th

I'm going to use boxer because I like the melee on the left trigger but sprint on b is something I'll need to get used to.

I'm still undecided between Bumper Jumper and Fishystick.

 

Bumper Jumper is what i've been using since Halo 3, so pretty much during my entire Halo time.

 

But Fishystick is similiar to CoD and when i took a break from Halo because Reach disappointed me, i was quite successful in the german MW3 esports scene

I can't decide between bumper jumper and fishstick. I really like bumper jumper, but fishstick looks good too.

A lot of Pro players use Default and Claw... or they just use Bumper jumper. I use Bumper Jumper as it makes things easier for me.

I was using bumper jumper for a while and when I switched back to recon I started to do considerably better. So I think recon is for me. But I'll still mess around with bumper jumper every once and a while.

I always use boxer, it allows me to use both triggers for melee weapons, and it is easier to use then pressing a button or bumper.

I'm a SWAT player, so I'm well versed in Bumper Jumper lol I don't use it much anymore because I got too good with it and games became boring.
