Ember132
I cant believe it you cant pick up grenades without putting on a PERK, seriously! Are u guys pisted as much as i am about that? How do feel about perks in general do you like this or want it OUT.
Ryu♥Hayabusa
It's actually not called a perk. But it only applies to dead player's grenades. You can pick up nades the monitor left lying around still without it!
iTz Vplus2
Actually, this will stop most nade spam, so it's good. And we don't have perks around here, this is Halo
DoctorB77
There will probably be more grenade spawns. And this will definetly help with spamming.
Ember132
Ok so there not called "Perks" but there just about the same Halo's trying to get people who like COD playing halo too more. They both bring in big numbers but if Halo makes it more like COD, COD players might try halo. Not saying anything bad but you guys have to admit: Team names Custom Loadouts Perks or whatever u wanna call it HALO IS CHANGING SADLY

It is just increasing the amount of customization.
iTz Vplus2
Of course Halo is changing. And it's a good thing. If Halo 4 would be 100% identical to Halo 3 or Halo Reach, i wouldn't buy it

Like COD who just puts out the same game each year with a few more guns and in my opinion worse graphics.
Ember132
You guys got a point but when i said halo was changing sadly i meant that i would like some things to stay the same and some to get differnet i feel like the entire thing has changed. Although i do like a bunch of the changes but halo 4 is supposed to be a sequal to halo 3 but it if there compared there nothing alike not saying they should but theres almost nothing that stayed in the game.

Well, one thing that could be held against this statement is the return of the BR
Tallgeese
BR stayed in the game, Covie Carbine stayed, Beam Rifle stayed, Spartan Laser stayed, Sword etc. So they are adding a few things...Halo changed a lot from Halo CE to Halo 2, and there were even changes from Halo 2 to Halo 3 believe it or not. It is still Halo and will still feel like Halo. It has new life in it and will continue to chnage from Halo 4 to Halo 5 and Halo 5 to Halo 6. As far as the grenads, use the resupply mod to get more grenades off of dead bodies, or use the additional greande mod to carry 3 instead of two. You can also pick up grenades form grenade spawns on the maps. It will not be the end of the world
RuggedCrunkster
Yes, they added features that are "similar" to to some features in COD games, but it IS still Halo. The features that they have added are great features that will only add to the fun. People dont realize that these are common features in today's FPS games, not just COD. Anyone ever play Crisis 2 multiplayer? No one complained about this game having such similarities to COD. My point is, 343 has done a great job from what i've seen and they are doing everything they can to please fans like me. Halo is still evolving and getting better and i feel very confident with it in 343's hands.
Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Your main weapon is your gun. That's why it's called a primary weapon. I would never rely on grenades to secure a kill when I have 2 guns, primary and secondary, on me. Now, I know grenades are great for denial-of-space and "testing the waters", but 2 grenades at spawn with plenty of grenade spawns around the map is fine.
Mr. Bashful Brute
Wait what? No grenades without the specialization?? Now that's total BS. They should allow grenades for everyone, and let the specialization give you extra.

Mr. Bashful Brute
There are grenades for everyone: you start with 2, and there are plenty located all around the map. Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Well that's not what I've gathered from this thread... What this thread is depicting is that you cannot resupply grenades from fallen foes (unless you have the Grenadier mod in your Loadout). You have the 2 grenades you spawn with, or you have grenades that spawn on the map. I'm sure you'll be able to get them in Ordnance Drops as well. Tallgeese
@Mr. Bashful Brute: You start with 2 grenades, either the frag, plasma, or emp grenade. There is a mod to allow you to carry 3 of the grenade if you choose. But the issue brought up in this thread is the fact that you can not pick up grenades off of dead players unless you have a mod called resupply which allows you to pick up 1 grenade off of dead players. You can still pick up grenades from grenade spawns on the maps as well.
DarknessX03
I honestly don't mind this. I mean, it's not like there won't be grenade spawns. Plus, just because it's like CoD's Scavenger perk in a sense doesn't mean Halo is becoming more like CoD. This is overall a good idea and it balances out gameplay considerably, making you rethink how to use your grenades sparingly instead of chucking them all around until you kill someone, pick theirs up, rinse and repeat. But hey, that's just me and everyone is entitled to an opinion
WonderWombat
**** no! I don't want **** of doody players in Halo! By the gods! This is how Halo dies... Cause there is no way that Halo's fanbase sucks just as bad. You have to realize those who join a forums aren't usually what represents the fanbase as a whole for popular games. Angel of Death D20
Change is inevitable. Anyone who thinks other wise.....is fooling themselves and trying to fool all others. In the early days of computers if you said CD-ROM people would look at you and be like: "What the $$%$ are you talking about?" There's no such thing as a CD-ROM. yes believe it or not there was a time when CD's did Not exist.
Hᴜᴍᴘsᴛʏʟᴇs
Like I said before, If you use grenades to directly fight enemies one on one, you're going to get pwn3d 9 times out of 10. Grenades are most effectively used when you have a few seconds before engaging in battle to "test the waters" or out-think your opponents with denial-of-space.

COD is the gaming industries AIDS, once it infects other games, they will die off, if halo is becoming more like COD, COD players will take a shine to it and infect our beloved halo. This is something that mustn't happen.

This is something that mustn't happen. Halo isn't becoming more like CoD, please stop with that. Just because this armor mod is going to be in-game doesn't mean that. Just because there are loadouts doesn't mean that. The ideas that 343 are putting into Halo 4 are actually good ones. It is not to "attract" CoD players, but to versify gameplay in general. Oh, and Halo will never die off ^^
