KorvMatte
Hello everybody! This bloom bugs me alot. And I don't understand why they implented it in the game when it clearly didn't work like it should've in Reach (spam and lucky headshots). Why not just give the DMR a fixed firerate like the other rifles? I just don't get it it's like they want to keep the spamming alive and give the DMR an advantage in mid-range combat for the lucky ones. While the other rifles are stuck at their fixed RoF DMR users can spam and beat them. Another alternative to fixing it would be to do a TF 2 approach and make it impossible to headshot when the bloom is active. That's how the ambassador works (no critical hits unless the bloom is completely shrunk) Now I saw a video of someone who counted the killtimes of each rifle and they all landed at 1.6sec (except the light rifle) But this won't apply when you can spam with the DMR and kill someone in say 1.0 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEcGZyU65CM I apolagize for any grammar mistakes English isn't my native language. Tallgeese
Well from my experience at ComicCon, the DMR bloom isnt nearly as bad as it was in Reach. It is more of a weapon kick/spread than bloom really. The "bloom" resets really fast and does not expand that far at all with each shot. Essentially they are just trying to eliminate trigger spamming, it fires much more faster than Reach and more accurately as well. However, the Light Rifle with its BR unscoped mode and its DMR scoped mode is superior in my opinion, and with the majority of maps having a good mid range feel to them, I used the Covie Carbine the most, it has less "bloom" than the DMR and has a higher rate of fifre, its spread is a bit more but when you are putting rounds into the enemy it doesnt really matter. The Carbine was beast in my opinion.
KorvMatte
Hmmm... Allright nice to hear from someone who've actually used it. But I'm still a little sceptical but hopefully it won't be too powerfull/spam friendly. A little off topic but since I'm a Carbiner myself how was the spread on the Carbine compared to the Halo 3 version?
Nightmarcher001
The bloom is what makes the gun well balanced rather it being to over powering. I use it but well I use it in case I get into a fight with someone mid-ranging me.
