haloguy117
hello everyone thank you for clicking on my topic so i remember when halo 3 first came out in 2007 and i was so excited for forge and forge was awesome but they could of added some more things (1)you should be able to spawn enemies from the human side and the forerunner side (2)you should be able to use a larger variety of items (3)you should be able to change the weather (4) you should be able to spawn blood any kind of blood like imagine your making a zombies map and you want to make it look scary so you add blood on the walls and the ground and anywhere that you want it (5) you should be able to spawn dead bodies too add more detail to your map (6) you should be able to spawn civilians. Thank you for reading this please leave a comment.
Mr Biggles
(1) True (2) Add Dirt / Stones / water etc, make it look more realistic. (3) Why? isn't that what effects are for in some ways? like the purple one makes it look dark? (4) that's pretty meh, it wouldn't make a huge difference (5) Why? i don't think anyone would care about dead bodies? (6) Again, why? how would they come into effect? i think you better check your last ideas.
A Zombie Riot
Also, let you have the ability to change the colors of the buildings and stuff. I'm tired of looking at gray and green all the time.

The blood and bodys wouldn affect the gameplay but would create a scary/suspenseful atmosphere in an infection game. And im suprised they havent given us blood/bodys yet i mean theyve been in every halo game so why not forge and i really would like weather so i could make a forest then make it rainy for low visibility but overall, good ideas

Reptar
They should have Legos in forge!
GrayForce
(1)you should be able to spawn enemies from the human side and the forerunner side Sure (2)you should be able to use a larger variety of items I totally agree with this. I get tired of seeing the same old gray Forerunner objects in Halo: Reach. Halo 3 had much more to work with, but Reach gives much less... which is irritating. (3)you should be able to change the weather I also agree with this. Not so much for gameplay reasons... but those of us who like to make Machinima often need to use some great editing software in order to get things like Rain effects. It would be nice if we could just automatically have that. (4) you should be able to spawn blood any kind of blood I don't agree with this one. Being someone that works with 3D Modeling (very basic level), Blood can be either a particle or a texture... and having too many of either in one map / area can really, really lag the game even if everyone has a green connection. (5) you should be able to spawn dead bodies too add more detail to your map No, you shouldn't. Anyone who has ever played Gary's Mod would know just how bad this can get. If you go onto Gary's Mod and set the game so that bodies don't disappear upon death... then you spawn like 50 zombies that respawn after death, but their bodies don't disappear, it will lag your computer so badly that you will crash after a few seconds. Imagine that on an Xbox... red ring of death anyone? (6) you should be able to spawn civilians. I would like to have the ability to also spawn The Flood or regular Covenant AI for games... but ultimately, Campaign is integrated into co-op matchmaking for a reason. I think trying to place AI-controlled units would be too difficult for the players to understand, what with all the scripting that's attributed to each unit. (Such as setting Grunts as allies if you're covenant, or making it so the Flood are passive... by default, these cases are not true and you'd need to set them manually, which can't be done unless you have a PC editing tool like what Starcraft has with Starcraft 2 Map Editor (where you can edit scripts)).
