Reading a novel before the official game release might be a good idea to get the mind obsessed on something else than Halo 4 for awhile. Gonna buy the first one as soon as possible. Not only does Traviss get the Halo lore wrong on several occasions, see turns it all into a kind of a soap opera, with military behaving like a big huge family, Halsey being some sort of a bad character, and revealing classified secrets to basically anyone. So yeah I wouldn't recommend it, though this is just my opinion. i dont seem to recall big flaws with the book compare to the halo lore, and just because a books story gets very deep and emotional doesnt make it a bad book. Halo books arent Just made of "Shoot dis, Shoot that" theres plot and judging that most of humanity was just wiped out, yea it will get a little "Soap Opera"The book Is great and i would recommend getting it if you really want to dive into the deeper part of the fiction, the meaning behind why they do this or that.
