i just watched a live commentary with Frank O'connor that he said that those who votes for the election in US will get something on halo to show the others that they voted

but that's unfair to the rest of the world that can't vote so i hope there will be an compensation for us

link to the video

jump to 17.00 to hear Frank say it

i made this topic 3 times now (and it got even more worse in quality every time

 ) i made the same mistake 2 times that i accidentally refreshed the page

Yes, I guess you could say it is unfair, but personally I don't really see the big deal. People who voted will presumably simply get some sort of sign / emblem / helmet that screams "I voted!".

Of course it depends on what exclusive stuff they will get, but it doesn't bother me.

of course they can if they include the GT in the voting system they can

like

Name:__________

GT:____________

Oher:___________

Person 1......Person 2

.....[X]...............[ ]

While that would be entertaining watching all of the older people who don't have an XBox go "What's this GT thing here? Do I have one of those? What do I do here?", it wouldn't work. Working with a non-partisan group in theory is great, but how are they going to verify if somebody voted? Hm.

i think i get how the voters will get there halo 4 stuff

If you use your Xbox to watch three of the four debates, Halo 4 will reward your civic zeal with shiny “warrior armor”—so you can eviscerate aliens, patriotically.

So is pre-orders locked to region Killerdude, but you don't see me throw a hissy fit about it. We older Americans, (Yes, 343i and Microsoft are American Companies mind you), spend good time watching debates, reading on contenders, etc....

As an older American registered to vote, I see no issue with allowing Americans who vote, to recieve a special emblem or goodie for doing so. There is a lot more going on in the world that should piss you off, but you guys choose "I voted" goodies as the straw that breaks the camel's back?!?

And to answer how they will do this, I can only assume that if you are "Registered" to vote, that the Gamertag associated to the player with the valid legal age and SS# will be checked and determine whether you get the goody. As you all know, they have that info tied into your GT and accounts....for security purposes.

Regional preorders are different, mind you, everyone is gonna be able to get them in the preorder pack after the games release, OR they get the bonus available in their region, either way everyone can get something. People can also preorder from UK sites in the US to get UK bonuses,(same with other regions) as many of us have already done.

With this voting bonus, ONLY, mind you, ONLY American citizens can get it.

Dude just accept it.. You sound young so you're forgiven for being ignorant. The USA will ALWAYS have everything better; quality, quantity. 343i is an American company, that is where their loyalty stands. The USA is the center of all of the worlds media; video games, movies, music, etc. It will always be like this, get use to it.

Proud to be American

It's smart, all liberal governments are losing votes and to get people to do it and receive something in return is brilliant, but it's also ignorant. There are many people in the world equally supporting their country and the person/group they wish to support it. This wouldn't of been a problem if it didn't happen at all because everything would be equal, something Halo is famous for, equality. They may be a company based in the USA, but they sell world wide and the world does not end at the border.

Typical..

Ignorant Americans, thinking they're entitled the world..

You should'nt generalize people due to one person.

As for the "bonus", really? All they will be getting, as someone already said, an "I voted" emblem or something. Nothing special if you ask me. People should be used to small bonuses depending on region.

The irony of your post if entertaining. Debating about the impact of cultures on the world would require an overview of history rather than an overview of modern media, something that is best not going in to considering.

As for the actual idea of a free gift for voting I quite applaud the idea. Many of the people who would be interested in the idea of item and can actually vote might not really care to. So why not offer a incentive so they actually get involved in the politics of their country? It's not like 343 are saying that if you don't vote in the US election then you can't buy Halo. I presume, as many have said, it will be similar to the icon in Reach, where if you played Halo 3 you can have a Halo 3 icon by your name. Nothing groundbreaking but a little incentive to encourage people to vote and get involved in the progress of their country. It is neither an insult to the rest of the world, going to detrimentally affect your ability to play or enjoy Halo 4 nor have any downplaying of my own or any one else custom if they have not from America.

People who have never met an American face to face insulting all of us...Makes the whole world pale in comparison, you know? I don't see us insulting every one of you...

Now, I bet it will be available later for all. I mean really, I'm sure too many people are gonna fuss about it to have it U.S. only.

I lived on the border for a majority of my life, many Americans who came over, we're not the greatest guests, infact a lot of them were straight up ******** about it. However, there were some who were very kind and very polite, they weren't rare, but they weren't common either.

It's nothing personal, so don't take it personally.

I'm not sure we would want to venture too far into this argument... I have cousins that were born American in Detroit and knowing the people of this forum I know there can be many very nice Americans. But in Canada from 7th grade onward, we are pretty much taught you guys are ignorant, and I do belive it, I have seen prime examples as to why I should ("The USA will ALWAYS have everything better; quality, quantity") but I know Canada has many flaws so many I could never count them out and although it's a stereo type that Canadians are nice, many of us can be very, very rude. I think we should forget this and work on the one place that truley matters here, the great land that is 343i CF. Also 343i is entitled to do what ever they want, and to support one's country is great. But for you guys saying that it is fair, would you still think the same if Ubisoft had something only Canadian's could obtain in AC3? (it also goes with the rest of the world, just I think it's a good example going with the Canadian, American thing going on)

During my stay in Florida years ago I was asked where I was from, I replied New Zealand. They then said "Isn't that part of Australia? Yeah I think it is, on the other side of the pacific. Don't they have those kangaroos and wombats? Do you own a koala as a pet?". I just didn't know hat to say, I hope I never see those blondes again.

I know people from the US aren't all that bad but you generally have to shout everything into my face with that obnoxious accent I can't get over which annoys me greatly. The ozie's accent is annoying as well but I can ignore it because they don't shout.

I find allot of the stereotypes are true but I have come across one or two that do not follow them.

I do wish that corporations that are no longer local would stop favoring other countries, normally it is pointless things.

I really do agree...

Enough of this people, i think we are going to far with this.

We are all good people in heart and all that inspirational stuff...
