Dr. A. Jarnefeldt
So what faction is the storm from? I mean what brach of the covenant could they have been apart of considering 1 they dont know the who MC is, which btw he was kind of a 'Demon' in their case. 2 They dont seem to keep any values they once had, and they have different ranks. 3 If they were sangheili loyalists why would the so openly take and destroy Requiem? TECH
All the different species in the Covenant still had fully independent worlds they lived on before they shipped out to join the war. The Covenant was a "group" so to speak, they didn't HAVE to be part of the covenant, (heretics) and since they were on a pirate ship (according to IGN and other sources), what makes you think they are part of the covenant... Also sangheili weren't exactly friendly with covenant forces at the end of Halo 3, so the rules don't apply to them anymore, so if they are sangheili loyalists they probly dont care, forerunner or not. Also Chief is all but presumed dead, so they just might not realize it's him....

Second, they were still aware of new spartans being made. MC is just "The One" who set the bar and was infamous to the covenant because of his advance skills and milestones reached against them.
