Can I get 343i verification of current canon hierarchy?

Allow me to refer you to this post by jstaten back in 2007, this set the precedent for canon hierarchy back in the day.

Given that the baton has changed hands and is now in 343's hands, can someone at 343 chime in on where you guys stand with canon hierarchy? Whether you're maintaining the precedent Bungie set or whether you've got a new hierarchy or opinion? It's fairly important to establishing what's canon and what's not in all material you guys approve/put out. My assumption would be following Bungie's precedent but without confirmation of that it's up in the air and open to debate, often very frustrating debate.

My suggestion is to post this on NeoGaf. This is a community forum, run by the community for the community. As a result, there are no 343i employees here. Also, they do not post on many forums, and NeoGaf seems to be the only one that they do post on, other than one or two posts by Frank O'Connor on Halo Waypoint.
