Baeztoberfest
WARNING. MAJOR SPOILERS ARE POSSIBLE IN THIS THREAD BUT ARE NOT TO BE CONFIRMED NOR DENIED BY ANY MEANS AS TO AVOID TROUBLE. CONFIRM OR DENY AND FACE CONSEQUENCES. FURTHERMORE IM ONLY LOOKING FOR INFORMATION AS A COLLECTIVE FROM ALL HALO MEDIA UP TO THE POINT WHERE HALO 4 BEGINS. So lets get to the point. I haven't read the books. And the terminals in Halo 3 were confusing. Halo 2 was so far long ago... And Halo 1 was pretty straight forward. Can anyone tell me who Didact is and can someone explain the forerunner threat as well as any information about the librarian? Also where (as of the ending of Halo 3) do we stand on the covenant and the flood? Are they dead? What? Someone clear this up for me. It's getting out of hand like The Matrix Reloaded. Thanks. Also which Installations are destroyed as of now? 00 and 04 correct? I thought every ring world had its own monitor and its own librarian. TECH
First off, change your thread name before someone smites you over it, I was about to report you for spoilers. posting ANY spoilers confirmed or not can get you banned, and this is in no way a spoiler thread. It should be named something like Halo 1-3 story clarification etc. Anyway the Didact was a forerunner promethean (not the AI version) he was executed and he imprinted his conscience upon someone named Bornsteller makes forever lasting or Bornstellar for short, he was the leader of the Forerunner Military and the one who had to fire the Halos. The librarian was his wife and was responsible for making sure "seeds" for the future species were stored away before the original firing of the Halos during the forerunner-flood war. The species that made up the Covenant are presumably still around, except changes in that structure would have obviously taken place since the Covenant were based around the idea of the "Great Salvation" and that idea was all but destroyed as they found out the rings cause destruction and not salvation. And the main body of the Flood was destroyed by the firing of the incomplete replacement to the Alpha-Halo ring at the end of Halo 3. That being said groups of the flood have been destroyed twice, so there may be more in-store since they already announced flood mode as a replacement to infection. That's all that has been talked about and gathered, I have not read the books myself so you would have to wait on someone else to confirm what has been said above as true.
Ryu♥Hayabusa
Yeah, some Elites hated humans, some were like the Arbiter. We do fight some covies, but they are basically a version of the Covenant without Prophet leaders. Want more detail? Warning:Thursday War spoilers inside the spoiler tag... One atheist Elite (Jul 'Mdama) started a new order that was meant to find the Didact and exterminate all humans. You supposedly fight his forces in Halo 4.
