Dr. Halsey Posted October 26, 2012 Report Share Posted October 26, 2012 After playing again cutscenes of Halo wars(tried also play campaign but its not as fun as skirmish-->got bored) I remembered how it really nailed "the halo feel" though it made some mistakes with canon. I mean the cutscenes felt more halo than most stuff in Halo Reach's campaing in my opinion. It also showed things from covenant's perspective what is something we have seen before only well... in halo 2 if I'm right and halo 2 had good story telling. I felt like Bungie didn't like somebody else making halo (I think there was even something about it in news?) since they made no references in Reach or Odst. I would liked to see at least broken Halo wars vehicles or other kind connections. It feels like Halo wars is isolated from other halo canon. This leads me to halo 4(5 and 6). Since it seems we will not get to use Halo wars vehicles I hope we see some references and since cutscenes seem to be in more important role I hope they succeed making them as interesting and intense as in HW. There is also one thing more. I asked for Covenant perspective but it wouldn't be interesting without prophets. I'm sure Storm has Shan `Shyuum as their leaders. Prophet of regret was best charachter in HW imo. I would love to see zealous and devious Prophet leader meet a leader of prometheans in halo 4 campaign. I'm sure Storm has Shan `Shyuum as their leaders. The Storm faction's leader is Jul 'Mdama, a Sangheili that still believed the Shan 'Shyumm were correct. He is trying to avenge the lost of his wife. I think I have to read glasslands and thursday war to update my halo knowledge. .Also Locust would be excellent addition to "covenant" arsenal since UNSC got Mantis. I dont remember Halo 2 having the SoF in it, but maybe I missed that part. Either way, Halo Wars 2 will just pick up where Halo Wars left off.
