So 7 out of 10 on EGM for not being like Call of Duty. No iron sites and no big scripted events like Call of Duty. Reviewer said it had no soul and is stuck in the past by not updating to " proper shooting mechanics" So I old hope a game " journalist" would know the Halo cannon and that Spartans use their H.U.D. to target, it ain't Call of Duty so why take points away from a game for staying true to its fiction? Am I just to into Halo? No. Just sick to death of every so called game reviewer who obviously doesn't play games. Are these negative reviews gonna hurt 343's incredible job in taking Halo into the future? I think they deserve more praise just for giving Halo back it's down as best looking shooter not to mention the fact that they obviously care about the story more than Bungie did.

Hes using the standards of other video games to judge it. Halo should be judged by it's own standards, not by other games.

Yeah and what sights would you look down for most weapons? THERE ISN'T ANY SIGHT ON MOST. Scopes can already be used

Now we have a 2 out of 10 review that says its too much like Halo? Curiously the same reviewer gave a lot of big games very low scores in the past. Problem is his reviews are used in Metacritic. Just think that an obvious flame review from a no name site should not be used the way other credible sites are on Metacritic. Maybe I should just stop paying attention to Metacritic.

At the end of the day whatever any reviewer says does not really matter, its what you think about the game.

Yeah. It's what you like but when there is a conserted effort to drive the score of a game down because it isn't on "your system" I mean I remember reading about why video games aren't as mainstream in media as movies, music, art, etc. If there are a large majority of people who post terrible reviews just to discredit a game instead of realizing that a game like Halo, as big as it is is one of a handful of games tht demonstrates just how big gaming can be, then Ican see why gaming is viewed as primarily a kiddie hobby. Tomb Rader. Uncharted, Mario, COD, and Halo should be trumpeted by real gamers as an example of what gaming is. These games generate more money than most movies and yet the movie industry is seen as a mature form of entertainment. Fanboys will never go away and the game industry as a whole encourages them due to the hits to certain websites. My passion s gaming and unfortunately it will always be seen as niche or for kids due to the children who seem to have this inherent hatred of the hobby the claim to love.
