As I started forging around and fiddling with the settings for custom games, I noticed a few things missing.

A- A complete lack of an Infection gametype.

In Halo 3, one of the most common custom game types was Infection. The Flood mode attempts to make up for this, but it is completely lacking any customizability for the zombie weapons. In Halo 3, my friends and I played a variant known as Minotaur. In this variant, a zombie would chase people around a small labyrinth while weilding a gravity hammer. A lot of the missing things I've noticed stemmed from my love of this gametype. Which leads me to my next point...

B- A complete lack of a custom powerup.

Without the ability to change the zombie's weapon, I thought "If I make two different classes, one minotaur and one human, and honor rule the gametype, I could put a custom powerup in the zombie spawn and close it off from the humans." Then I noticed that there is no custom powerup. I am confused as to why this would be removed from the game, considering that it was used a lot in MLG games.

The third thing I noticed missing is...

C- A true assault gametype.

Grifball is one of my favorite Halo pasttimes, and the idea of putting it into its own gametype only makes sense, considering the huge community rally behind the sport; however, I see no reason to make it the only assault gametype available. One of my personal favorite assault variants was called CTB (Capture the Bomb). It involved stealing a bomb from the enemies base, planting it in the middle of the map, and defending the point from disarms. It may seem like a small niche in the community, but I feel like it could have easily been implimented into the game to satisfy said niche.

Another gametype, which was introduced by popular demand in the first place, that has vanished is...

D- Race.

A lot of maps that gained huge popularity in Halo: Reach were all designed for this particular gametype. They were also a lot of fun and, again, it seems like something that would be easy to impliment and alienates that particular group of Halo players to exclude from the final product.

All in all, I'm aware that this may not get many views, but I feel as though some key components to the custom community were overlooked in the final production of this game. I hope that they are included in some future update and I look forward to playing more Halo and seeing the new gametypes that always pop up over time.

For you tl;dr types... There's stuff missing including: Infection, Custom Powerups, Assault, and Race.
