Jairo Mejia
None of that was an option last games, unless you chose the BR only games. the dmr i find to be my best wepon i think its what your best at using
DoctorB77
This just blew my mind. There has been a post about the BR being over powered. I think someone just spit an atom with a chainsaw or something.
LABRAT
Sadly, this game will most likely be returned and I do not think I will be returning to a 343 led Halo in the future. Good for you then. It means one less noob that I have to personally humiliate. Learn to adapt or die. <----- A great history lesson for ya.
l Xenoes l
The BR is not OP and you cannot get kills from across the map with it. I believe you're confusing it with the DMR. The DMR is the weapon that is mainly used in almost all game types.
Spectral Jester
1. The battle rifle is the only weapon that can be used in the game. If you are not proficient with the battle rifle, you will never be able to get kills. 90% of the time I get a kill in the game, I get killed from the opposite side of the level with the battle rifle. I think you mean the DMR, as the BR is the weakest of the semi automatic weapons 2. There are only four multiplayer maps for slayer. I guess because of the day and age we live in, everyone wants you to buy more maps so game companies can make more money but to sell a game with only four maps is ridiculous. What is the replay value of the game if there are only four games? I guess the creators want me to spend my money on more maps instead of giving me some from the beginning. Totally agree with you there, but that is the way things are when DLC make the companies so much money, I seem to always get Ragnarok when playing Infinity Slayer, and it gets real boring real fast 3. The assist system. I cannot tell you how many times I have nearly killed someone only to have another player take the kill away from me. Sure, this happened in the old halo games, but because of the new Halo 4's overpowering of the Battle Rifle, kills get pilfered from me more often than not. Normally, my game stats look like this 11-9-13. How in the world can I get 9 assists in a game CONSTANTLY? I can understand from time to time but it happens nearly every game. Assists? is it not a team game? assists are easily explained, the DMR is so overpowered people shoot across maps so there will now be a lot of assists 4. The lack of close battles anymore. It feels as though I am always getting battle rifled from across the level. The joy of Halo in the past was the close range battles. Sure, there was sniping from time to time, but EVERY player was not using a battle rifle. Sadly yes, there are maps like Haven which is good for CQC, but overall maps are geared for longer range battles 5. Allowing battle rifles to be used as a basic option for your load out. I remember when, if you wanted to battle rifle you had to find the gun and then use it. If you died, you had to either find another battle rifle or pick up the gun you previously used. Now, when you die you get the battle rifle back immediately The only start weapon that could really be classed as overpowered is the DMR 6. The lack of options to play non-battle rifle games/swords/pistols. I remember a lot of the fun of Halo 3 was the games that were swords only. Where did this go? In Halo 4 there is no option. All I have is pick one of the four available maps and play I agree with this they are limiting the playlists on H4, you could always do custom games with friends.
EpicBeaver
I was an avid Halo fan prior to this game being released. I played every halo game up until Halo 3. I used to play Halo 3 for hours. The game was amazing. Upon hearing Halo 4 was coming out, I was excited and pre-ordered from Amazon. I thought Halo 4 was going to be like Halo 3 and the past games. Boy, was I wrong. Multiplayer on Halo 4 consists of one thing and one thing only, the Battle rifle. The BR has made this game impossible to play because if you do not want to use that particular gun, you are screwed. In Halo 3 I used the assault rifle and was pretty darn good with it. In halo 4, I can't get any momentum because after a battle with a player, I am hit from across the level and killed with the battle rifle. I will, most likely, be returning this game for these reasons: 1. The battle rifle is the only weapon that can be used in the game. If you are not proficient with the battle rifle, you will never be able to get kills. 90% of the time I get a kill in the game, I get killed from the opposite side of the level with the battle rifle. 2. Normally, my game stats look like this 11-9-13. How in the world can I get 9 assists in a game CONSTANTLY? I can understand from time to time but it happens nearly every game. 4. The lack of close battles anymore. It feels as though I am always getting battle rifled from across the level. The joy of Halo in the past was the close range battles. Sure, there was sniping from time to time, but EVERY player was not using a battle rifle. 5. Allowing battle rifles to be used as a basic option for your load out. I remember a lot of the fun of Halo 3 was the games that were swords only. Where did this go? In Halo 4 there is no option. All I have is pick one of the four available maps and play. [Yes, I know some games like the larger team games, etc. have larger maps, but when did it become okay to release a game that had maps for only portions of the game. Maybe I only want to play slayer? Or free for all. Do I really only get the option of four games]. Sadly, this game will most likely be returned and I do not think I will be returning to a 343 led Halo in the future. First off, the BR sucks. The DMR is the gun that pwns all. Second, there is more than 4 maps to play on. Third, there is PLENTY of close battles. U just PROBABLY suck so bad you cant even get to them. Fourth, im sorry for the assist system! Maybe u should try to HIT THEM MORE THAN ONCE AND AIM FOR HEAD?!! Next, the br is the only decent weapon? I use the DMR and PLASMA pistol, and now that u mention it, not ONE of my loadouts has the battle rifle. I am lvl 51 and i get around 15-25 kills a match. Lastly, return it. Please. I do not want to waste my time fighting a noob who gets killed by the BR every 3 seconds. -EpicBeaver
FleshBack
Yes, pick up a BR/DMR like the rest of us and move along. Conform. Now.
Charlemagne
The Battle Rifle is most certainly weaker than the Light Rifle and DMR, I have no idea what all this rage is about.
Pbrabbit
These are some pretty BS claims about halo 4, maybe there are only 4 maps for multiplyer, but the BR is the ONLY weapon you can use in the game? What?
Bloody Initiate
Psst, the OP is from NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR. Also the dude hasn't posted anything since then. Can we let the dead topic die?
Chris Hansen
The op was referring to the DMR. He caused a massive amount of confusion by saying BR. lol If he was referring to the DMR he would be right. I was playing for a good 5 hours yesterday, using every gun EXCEPT the DMR, just to see and get commendations for other starting guns, and it's a joke. The DMR besides very close range, just owns everything. It's very easy to use the weapon unscoped and it's slightly more powerful as the battle rifle but much longer range. After seeing initiates post...yes, let this be the last post and let this die.
LiQuid BioniX
You mean the sniper rifle? Oh wait, just another post proving that the DMR is OP. Wait, what? The DMR hasn't even been IN this discussion. Edited February 28, 2013 by LiQuid BioniX

By the way if the DMR is that OP how does i got some perfection medals on slayer using the BR? I'm confused...
paulic83
1st u mention 4 maps about 5 times if u took time to count u would realise there are 5 maps for slayer then 5 maps for big team!! Now if u choose to play only slayer u are resticing urself to a small part of the game, far more than thedevelopers lack of maps! U are obviosly using the wrong tool for the job the assault rifle, suppresor all have there place but if ur running around in wide open spaces with these guns ur bound to be getting owned off dmr or anything else!! In enclosed ares these guns should come out on top!!
