kaindraken
I just finished the Halo 4 campaign. It was amazing. I loved every minute of it. It's the highest quality game I've played in a long time. The graphical fidelity is unparallelled. 343i sparred no expense and their talent really shows... ...on the disc. I just booted up Spartan Ops and hit play on the first episode. It looks like total crap. Everything on the disc looks and sounds amazing, but for some reason the Terminal videos and the Spartan Ops Episode videos stream and look absolutely terrible. It was bad enough that the Forward Unto Dawn extended cut I purchased the Limited Edition for has the same problem, but that was an extra. It should have been a pack in DVD, but it wasn't even a digital download. But Spartan Ops is a part of the actual game. It shouldn't stream if it looks that bad. I'm sure there are many reading this and don't know what I'm talking about. Well, I don't have as fast of an internet connection as those lucky speed demons. This is what it should look like: http://i306.photobuc...partanOpsHD.jpg This is what it looks like for me: http://i306.photobuc...rtanOpsSD-1.jpg Look how terrible that looks. How can MS, 343i and Waypoint allow the flagship franchise of the Xbox brand to display such terrible visual fidelity. 343i did such a great job rendering the CGI, but I can't enjoy it as it was intended to be. All 343i has to do to fix this is allow for the videos to be downloaded in full HD to be played off the hard disc rather than streamed over the internet. It should at least be an option and there is no excuse I will accept for the omission. Who else thinks the videos should be installed to the hard drive? I'm a huge Halo fan and I think 343i did a fantastic job. But this can not stand. We fans with slow internet speeds deserve consideration. As far as I am aware there is nothing I can do about this other than complain. Does anyone know any contact information so that I can make a formal complaint? Below are the examples. Top is what it should look like, bottom is what I get when I try to watch them.
Azaxx
This is how you fix it Step 1: buy new TV/monitor Step 2: play game and enjoy. Sources: because I know my Xbox plays it just fine.
kaindraken
This is how you fix it Step 1: buy new TV/monitor Step 2: play game and enjoy. Sources: because I know my Xbox plays it just fine. It's not my TV or my Xbox 360. It's the internet connection. The video is streamed over the internet like Youtube instead of being played off the harddrive like the singleplayer cutscenes. The problem is that if the internet connection speed is too slow the video player automaticly reduces the quality of the video so it can keep playing at full speed. 343i needs to either let the video be downloaded for local playback or let users preload the video for a minute or two at full HD. Brandon Valenza
While I do have high speed internet I do believe they should give us the option to download each episode to the hard drive. The CG would look so much better if it wasn't streaming. Its like Netflix HD looks good, but looks terrible next to its blue rag counterpart

Jord
My cut scenes look absolutely stunning. ..And I'm still rocking a SD TV o.O But I agree we should be able to download the cgi scenes for those who can't stream it and want to enjoy it to the max.
