Evan Wentz
So I've really been enjoying Halo 4, especially matchmaking. Ever since the Sunday update, however, I've noticed ALOT of issues. In other words, I can't play in matchmaking period... Rather aggravating... I've seen a few people with issues but nothing like mine. The odd part is these issues continue to cycle, and when I do get in a match, its extremely laggy. Usually what happens first is I will get into a match (After it taking an unusually long time to find other players) and after voting, and the subsequent loading screen, it will kick me out of the match and make me vote again like I had just joined. The odd part is, I'm the only person in the game... Following this I've gotten a black screen a few times during the loading in which it will say I'm disconnected from Xbox Live. I can reconnect right after, so its very odd. My laptop right next to me won't get kicked off, just my Xbox. The one match I did manage to get into today saw some extremely bad rubber banding and latency, basically making both games a chore (SWAT and Big Team Slayer). Now, before anyone says anything, I am experienced in Networking, and I have reset my router and my Xbox numerous times with no effect. This issue has only started Sunday after the matchmaking update, so I'm guessing that is to blame (I hope so, anyway). FaTaL
How much free space is on you xbox?
Cbwade15
Sounds like you might have a networking problem. It also sounds like disc 2 might not have been installed properly,or the update might not have been installed properly, which if that is the case you could clear halo 4 cache and try again. Evan Wentz
The only game with any issues at all is Halo 4 and those started Sunday. And it can't possibly be the disc because these issues weren't present until a few days after the games release.
Ardski
I was playing the campaign on legendary earlier, it was seriously so bad that i had to just end it midway, I could barely move.
Wrath
Try clearing your cache, it's helped me multiple times with Halo related issues.
FaTaL
I was playing the campaign on legendary earlier, it was seriously so bad that i had to just end it midway, I could barely move. This was a 343i network problem. As far as your problem, Wentz, your internet connection seems perfectly fine, 10Mbps is a lower rate for most high speed internet connections and I am not sure if that is BEFORE or AFTER factoring in the additional lag included with the WIFI speed reduction. I would definitely try shutting off all other WIFI connections: Phones, laptops, portable devices and etc. Just to test and see if it does any better. However if none of that works I would encourage checking the space on your Xbox and making sure you have over 1.6Gb of memore left to help give some room for the game/hard drive to run correctly. Note that this still has a lot to do with 343i servers, but also can be related to game host, your connection and your xbox output. You could get a USB and try to install both Discs to the hard drive/USB. With the recent update to the xbox360 dashboard the xbox360 now supports USB 32Gb of space with Xbox format. Like Wrath said, clear your cache as well. Anything you can possible do to clear up space you should definitely do. Then if it still lags like you say then I would check into a newer Xbox if yours is out of date (not that it has anything to do with it, but older Xboxs are notorious for the laser reader going out as well as the spinning drive in the Xbox 360.) make sure you can hear your disc spinning correctly and no funky sounds are coming from the box. Another thing you could check is your Packets in/out while on Xbox Live. ANYTHING HELPS!
The Piccard
I've been having exactly the same issue since the update was released last Sunday. Before that matchmaking was working perfectly.
