337edy
Hi Don't know how anyone else feels about this but I like to fly as intended. Down on stick to go up and up on stick to go down. All was good until I arrived at parts of game where I discovered that I cannot invert the controls. Have I missed something or is it as I say "the controls cannot be inverted at certain parts of the game" does anyone know of a fix for this. I am very dissapointed with Halo 4 at the moment. Just the fact that I cannot invert the controls for flight is enough to put me off the whole game. When I select inverted controls I expect it to be like that all the way unless I choose to change. Baeztoberfest
I play inverted too. I just went to controls and invert y axis and presto. No problems playing or flying. I'm sorry I'm not trying to be an ass but what exactly is the problem here? You can't invert your controls or you can't invert solely your flight controls? 337edy
I can invert controls for whole of game which is great. But when it comes to parts of game that involve flight the controls revert to non inverted and despite going into control settings and reversing controls they stay the same. I would have thought that flight especially would have been inverted default.
Baeztoberfest
Hmmm that is strange. Mine stay inverted for flight. I wonder why yours revert.
Roger1792
I am experiencing the same problem as grunt vis-a-vis the polarity of the pitch axis (invert vertical axis) on aircraft. In Halo 1 thru 3 it was at least possible to specify inverted vertical axis for vehicles, but the games had the moronic deficiency that, in order to achieve inverted vertical axis for vehicles, one had to set inverted vertical axis == off for non-vehicular movement. As Grunt described, Halo 4 locks you into non-inverted vertical control for vehicles, which, is absolutely opposite to real aircraft and any number of flight simulators and games with simulated flight. For me, this is an absolute showstopper. The game went into the giveaway bin. Leave it to Microsoft, 343 industries, or whatever the inept implementers of the Halo series are calling themselves these days, to screw up something that isn't broken. Based upon my Halo 4 experience, I will never purchase another 343 game. For gamesters requiring a SciFi fix, I highly recommend EA's Mass Effect series. EA, Bethesda, and the rectums of jackals all produce a substantially higher quality product than 343.
Twinreaper
I too had issues with halo 4 regarding the vehicles. I avoided all flying vehicles in Halo 4 except for the levels in which I was forced to. There was an update fix for the controls and you should be able to find the "vehicle controls" in the settings somewhere. I can't remember exactly when they fixed the control issues, but I know it is there cause I was angry as hell about it being fixed long after launch day and after I already completed the game on legendary. And btw way, it took me 976 deaths on the broadsword level to complete it because there was no inverted controls.
